	http://www.totalbmx.com.au/images/brakes/odyssey_pitbull_2.jpg your trying to pivot around a certain point. to pivot around that point you really want to give a force that forms a circle around it. Yours would just give a verticle component which would give less force to the pads. The best use for just one cable, and having maximum force the pads is to have the cable come out the side. That way the force is going in the same direction the pads need to move. like these bad boys I probably explained this horribly, but oh well, maybe you guys will get it. Basically its just ...you need the pads to move in a horizontal direction, or in a circular direction, but this braking system would only give a verticle ocmponent for the force, so they would be week, and not pivot efficiantly. peace. -Evman
