I would recommend 4 pegs, front and back brakes, and a detangler. Depending on what tricks you do you might not even need all that, but its a good starter package. That and determination is all you really need. -A noble spirit embiggens the smallest man. -Jebediah Springfield

You can probalby ride it as-is. If you want some more comfortable parts, get some flatland specific pegs. Their all the same really, so get sopme cheap ones.

I would recommend 4 pegs, front and back brakes, and a detangler. Depending on what tricks you do you might not even need all that, but its a good starter package. That and determination is all you really need. That is good advice. For a beginner that is all you need to learn the basics. Get yourself the Ground Rules DVD and make sure you have 2 good brakes, 4 pegs and a gyro. Lots of practice and patience. Worry about upgrading to a true flatland bike as your skills progress. No matter what you run, PUMP UP YOUR TIRES TO AT LEAST 105-110 psi. Low tire pressure is the #1 reason why beginners have so much trouble with flatland. I can't do many tricks on a bike with 50 psi in the tires, and you can't either. Pump those tires up and keep them inflated hard. And while your at it, make sure you lube the brake cables with WD-40 or something, or your brakes won't work, whether you have a Revenge brake or a Cheng Shen caliper brake. -A noble spirit embiggens the smallest man. -Jebediah Springfield
