Am I the only one who feels we are getting shit on by a lot of these bmx parts companies who sell flimsy ass frames for top notch prices?
Theres no excuse for a $400 frame not to last someone a full year... theres just no valid excuse for that....
The companies making this stuff, and the riders who ride for them, should all be ashamed of themselves...
Im not going to name names... but I will never buy another product thats been endorsed by a rider who supported this garbage.... Never.... this is the true test of what pro riders are a bunch of phony liars, and who isn't....
thats totally unacceptable for anyone to support this garbage...
This shitty aluminum mongoose racing bike my friend got from kmart took more a beating from flatland than some of these $400 frames... and his whole bike cost less than $100! and that aluminum frame couldn't have weighed more than 4.5lbs... He's still out there riding it 4 years later.. theres just no excuse for this shit...
I think hoffman bikes is one of the few companies that gets this, and isn't going to short change the riders.... i rode matt wilhelms bike at the cleveland contest, and it was light enough, rock solid, and will likely last for the amount of money you pay for it...
i respect the shit out of matt for reppin this company.... cause that frame is most certainly worth every penny it costs you...

But those other companies.... Im not gonna name names, cause theres too many to name... but they know who they are...
They have dishonored their purpose in this industry....
I am personally blacklisting all of these shit parts companies... I will not buy, or condone anyone to buy any of these flimsy ass parts.... After seeing dave d's frame.... Im 100% certain someone is going to get hurt or killed by this garbage...
In all truthfullness, If my current frame breaks... i would much rather go to kmart and buy up that same aluminum mongoose for $100 than pay $400 for these garbage frames from an online retailer...

I'll support dans comp till bmx companies start selling direct to their customers...

It's not only flatland its the same in street. Most brands nowadays (and riders too) just want everything to be light as hell which 9 out of 10 times is greatly sacrificing strength. My main concern is Eastern bikes. I have heard countless stories about people snapping their frames like twigs because they tube them so thin. I have an old hoffman condor frame and i dont think i would ever even crack it it's so sturdy.I remember a few years ago the average complete bike weight companies sold were in the 30-33 pound range. Now theyre all somewhere in the 22-27 pound range which is rediculous.
