Hey!! It's always good to see someone from MY generation :) I remember seeing this trick on some old-school 'Freestyle' video, where there was a Freestyle show in Reno, and guys like Loveridge and Aparijo were rockin the Skyway tracksuits. lol Ur right in ur description, how the frame just kinda 'floats' around in a slow circle... hmmm, must be magic. As far as I can work out, once you go into your endo and start hopping with 2 feet, slightly tilt thebars to the left (or right) an lift your leg up to allow the frame to swing. As it starts it's circular movement, and is directly in front of you, pull back the bars, as if ur doing a fire-hydrant, and it should float back around to you. Repeat the process as you step over the frame to allow the continuation of the circle. It takes a while to figure out the right amount to 'pull' on the bars, to keep the circle going kinda slowly... Best of luck, bro!! :)

If I'm not mistaken, I believe you need a coaster brake in order to do pedal pickers? Not too many flatland bikes nowadays have those. But if you're still rockin your old school ride, right on! I used to try this trick too but totally forgot how the heck I got into them! LOL! MySpace Profile: SoCal Rider

they are possible with a freewheel. you have to have the opposite side crank in the down position and step on the pedal with the brake locked. You ready to be fucked, mang?<br />http://www.myspace.com/east_county_bmx

Back in the day, pedal pickers were easy. Yes, a coasterbrake is the best way to learn them. I used to be able to ride into them and decade out. The easiest way that I learned them was do an endo, have your left pedal up, put all the pressure on your left foot as your back end hits the ground. Jump up and switch feet and you swing your left foot over to the other pedal and start hopping. Very simple, very easy. http://www.myspace.com/stubbleduck

I had skyway mags with the ACS freecoaster in the late 80's. I did pedal pickers by doing a walk over decade and then instead of the seat post, i put my foot on the pedal (preset of course). those were the days. I too miss doing cherry pickers and pedal pickers. ![]()
