I haven't been on here in forever, but the website looks pretty dead right now. However, I need some advice, so I thought I'd post anyway.

I've been off my bike for a little over a month due to the removal of a plate from my shoulder and a separated ligament in the same shoulder from an unrelated crash. Fortunately, the two were mostly overlapping so it was less time off the bike.

Unfortunately, I broke some parts in the process of crashing. I.E. my bars.

I'm 6'3" and running a 20.6" frame. My knees do tend to hit the bars on occasion. The bars I was running were 7.5" rise.

So my question is, what difference would a switch to 8" rise bars have in my hop, the handling and feel of the bike, etc?

I dont think it would affect you to much. I'm not sure but arent most taller rise bars wider to ? If so then it might help with how tall you are. You'de have more control over your bike. It will take some getting used to, but in the end you'll like the result.

Thanks.
I think I'm going to go with Slams.

Slams are the best. Either Slam or Slam XLT. Same thing just the crossbar on the XLT's are thinner.
