| dont be cheap? sand blasters can get pretty expensive, and the preperation you must do for its set up is pretty time consuming...so unless you plan on using the sandblaster for lots of other things as well, I wouldnt recommend getting one. I buddy of mine took his bike down to a local auto-detailer and they sandblasted his bike for him for about $100 or so if I remember correctly. I've repainted my bike a couple times and I used the wire-brush wheel on my father's bench grinder to get my bike down to its bare metal...it works really well and doesnt take to long. | |

| get it glossy by using several base coats and wet sanding in between coats then clearing it and wet sanding more. put your stripes on before the clear by masking off areas where you don't want the stripe and spraying the exposed area. or use: http://www.blockachip.com/bike.php /> check out this guy's tutorial on bike painting: http://bikeoverhaul.blogspot.com/2006/08/painting-bicycle-frame-with-color.html /> and I do recommend a chemical stripper, just be careful, its very toxic and will burn your skin/eyes/nose/throat etc etc. safety first safe safe safe | |
