I suppose it depends on what you ride. Personally, I like street. I have my doubts about how well Redline and Haro would stand up against a serious street session. I'm a big Fan of S&M, though I don't have any of their parts but some Pitchforks and an old school Redneck I got back in '98. Pretty much every thing I've seen from them was good stuff. DK... Meh. They're hit or miss to me. I had an S.O.B a few years back and loved the hell out of it. I used to be kind of a bruiser (Big gaps with long drops, gap to grind, and the "don't know if I can make it so I'll go as fast as possible and blast the hell out of it" thing), so I broke it after about four years. I was very pleased with it, so pleased that I took the half off deal on its replacement, The Weapon. I can't say I'm too fond of it so far. Drop outs are too short and narrow and the way the wishbone was put together made putting my old parts (45 sproket and Kink Fat Boy chain) on it kind of a pain. I'm not too big on this whole weight saving thing anyway. As for their other stuff, my brother had the Epic hubs (I think that's what they were called) and they're still kicking. The forks (At least the older models) are pure shit. Got a deal on some DK Street forks when I got my SOB, and I broke them a week later. They were under warranty, so I exchanged them for a new pair, broke them in just a few days. I got a third pair and they split the same day I put them on. I guess they'd be alright if you didn't grind on them, but that kind of kills the point in the peg slots they had. After my horrible run in with DK forks, I finally got a pair of Volumes from an old buddy of mine. They stood the test of time with no wear on them but a few scuff marks. I eventually got rid of them because the original compression bolt was missing and the ones I kept using kept getting busted. That's all I really know about Volume. I don't know anyone that's had anything of their's. Standard: Awesome. I've yet to see a Standard frame/fork break (I'm sure they have, but nobody I know has done it). From what I understand, they have a lifetime warranty on nearly everything they put out, so the extra baggage in the price tag isn't too unreasonable. Especially since most new frames out today aren't much cheaper. I dig the lines too. The angles and what not of the STA were perfect for me, but I'm sure that won't be the case for everyone. Metal is pretty good too. I'd recomend checking out some of their stuff if you ever get the chance. I never had any of my own, but I know a couple people who had some frames and other random parts. This is all I care to write. All that rambling I did on DK took it out of me.

I am using now my 2nd Fit frame, a Flow Series; my first one was a Series One. Both are excellent frames, and the Flow, being from Japan and all, has proven great at park, street and jumping. The Series One took some SERIOUS abuse, as it was my serious street and park riding learning, and it never gave me trouble. Ride now, ride later... Ex Astris, Scientia.
