| At long last, a TRUE concrete skatepark has opened in Puerto Rico! I have heard stories of other ones that were open in the 1970s, but so far I have no hard evidence on that. This new one is located in Aguadilla, a town in the northwest coast of Puerto Rico, at the old facilities of Ramey AFB. I hope some pros come and visit and ride soon! So far, I do not know if bikes are welcome... but who cares! Here's the newspaper report, in Spanish: http://www.endi.com/noticia/comunidad/noticias/abre_sus_puertas_pista_de_patinaje_en_aguadilla/259591 Ride now, ride later... Ex Astris, Scientia. | |

| Ok, I had a chance about 2 weeks ago to go to the park, but without my bike. There is a sign that states it is solely for skating (so it's more of a challenge then!), and it has many lines that ar rideable. It has a spine, a deep bowl, ledges for grinds, a shallower bowl, and is all concrete. There is a private security guard and a municipal employee (he looked like a skater) that should prove bothersome during the day... but a late night session should be fun! I did not bring my camera, but i will take some pics next time I visit. Ride now, ride later... Ex Astris, Scientia. | |
