| sometimes things out of our control come up and take us away from riding. Its then hard to get back into it, depending on what it was and how long you've been away. But I'm a firm believer in the philosophy that you are NEVER to old to start and its never too late to pick it up again. Good luck man. www.sportskool.com | |

| I am 20 years old, and a couple years into college. My bike got stolen a few years ago. I just got a new bike yesterday...so I know how you feel man. But I don't think anyone is too old to ride unless they are physically restrained. | |

| i started this year 2007 and im nineteen if someone says im to old ill kick them in the mouth!!!! all it takes is commitment!!! i started riding about 5 years ago but i shattered my testicle so couldnt ride for 18 months and then moved to a hick town with a small number of paved roads so it wasnt until now i could afford a new bike but shit im already doing flatland 1's and am a sponsored racer. and another thing to get offa of my chest all you fucking dickhead bmxer's your really giving bmx a bad image, your the reason i cant go to more than one of the some odd 30 parks in my area so seriously learn some fucking person to person respect!!!! and never forget you were once that kid at the park that cant air the quarter pipe and you were once that kid landing spread eagle on the top of the spine cause you looped out going up it so shit have some brotherly love we've all got one thing in common and thats the love to ride!!!! | |

| your never too old. I am 30 years old. I rode a sk8board till i was 21. never really rode bikes when i was young. i went to college , started a family and when i was 28 needed a hobby, so i started racing bmx. in one season i went from some newbie , to being 2nd in the state of texas, 6th in my district, and 104 in the nation out of 9410 riders. i then started riding trails at my friend kyle bennetts house and at the 9th street trails. i realized i like it better than racing , im into the no competition thing, just riding for the pure fun of riding. when i was 29 i started learning barspins, turn downs, and i even landed a tailwhip a few times. im now thirty and started riding street , so i ride trails and street (or i did till my bike got stolen a week ago) so now im trying to save up to get abike. which is hard when your trying to take care of a family as well. so to sum this up, after riding a sk8board my whole life , not bikes. i picked up bmx at 28 years old, im now 30 and ive prgressed quite a bit and have enjoyed everyminute of it. hope that helps. and remember , if you need motivation ot ride watch a bmx video. (ps if anyone has any old forksor cranks they dont want or will sell super cheap email me yessbikes@yahoo.com. im trying ti build a new bike | |

All the motivation you need is riding. Everything about it gives me a remarkable, nearly undescribable feeling. When you finnally pull something you've been working on for days, flowing over gaps, trails, and wall rides, and all the awesome people I never would've met otherwise. Even how pissed off I get when I can't land something... It's all good, and it's the reason I go out day after day. That's all the motivation you need, not being the best, or even getting recognition from your peers. Just ride to ride. | |
