it took me quite a while to ride out of these, i learnt to ride out by flicking it into a steamroller and riding out that way-and then i learnt them back into halfhiker and karlkruzer,id say into steamroller would be easier

Took me forever to finally ride out of this trick. I say, practice your karl kruiser and/or half hiker. Once you have those, drop the back wheel and use your free leg to catch the rear peg. I would thinking trying to get back into a steamroller from a fwd hiker position is the hard way to get out of it. But then again, we're all different and we find certain tricks harder than someone else would.

Best thing to do is to just look at the different ways people get out of it and figure out which way is best for you. Good luck!

FORCE YOURSELF to drop out and ride out like you would a half hiker. It's really fucking scary the first few times, but you have to commit to it. Once you get the hang of that, everything else is so easy.
