I have an old mongoose KO [from back when they made quality bikes], a Dyno VFR, and a Kawasaki Z1. I want to get back into BMX but I need to make a new bike. I want to use one of the 3 bikes I have and re-do them. I don't know which one to use. The mongoose is a good bike, real sturdy, but the heaviest of the 3. Not too heavy though. It is in excellent shape. The Dyno VFR is also a good bike, I'm not sure if this would be suited for street BMX. This is also in good shape, not quite as nice as the mongoose. It is also lighter than the mongoose. The Kawasaki Z1 is lite as shit, but it is a race bike and don't think it is really suited for street. It is in the worst shape, but not too bad. There is some rust on the frame, but thats it. All there bikes are 3/4 inch axle, but I can drill out the back to fit a 1/4 inch. I used to ride a newer gt comp[until it got stolen], a good bike but on the heavy side. So what do you guys think? | |
