This Friday through Sunday - McCormick Place in Chicago - Mayor Daley's sports expo. I'm seeing rumors of Flatlanders showing up and having a bit of a jam there on Friday 11am (tomorrow). Last year we had about 10 riders show up. It's free - except the parking. Come on down.
Also, for anyone who rides street/ramps. They have a small street section, with some quarters, and a box jump. Last year this part was riddled with pink shirted, girl tight pants wearing skate boarders. Just for your FYI.
Easy directions coming from the south. Take I-55 north up, get off on King drive and make a left at the light. Follow street down and you'll see McCormick place and then followed by the Hyatt hotel. Find parking, its everywhere.
SImilar to the above, you can take 94 North, get off on lake shore drive, get off at King drive, and find parking. Last year they had posters all over the place for the sports expo.
If you are coming from any other direction, I can only say, go south on Michigan ave. (from the grant park area) Make a left at Cermak. Follow street down for a few minutes and it curves right. Look at your left, you'll see the Hyatt and McCormick Place.
