Bringing back RadDad's old thread
Today I got to ride for the second time in about 2 weeks. Felt so good, and I even bust out a couple new tricks. Grabbed the seat with either hand and switched back and forth on my no handed funky chickens. Made good progress on front yards even though I never really try them. Lashed into a steam and rode out for the first time today. Overall my tricks felt good and I'll ride more later today in my living room. Its too cold to continue. I went to the mall and realized there is a bunch of nothing that i want, so I went to flatlandfuel.com and dropped $150.... damn internet.

Cool!!! It does my heart good to read about progression. I am about to pad up and head out for a spin. I will report back with some news!! On a side note. My son has started to ride now. I bought him a DK Signal and I am showing him the ropes. Thanks for starting the Todays Riding Thread again!!! Mark ![]()

Today I during my qucik session I was thinking about the Jam that we are throwing in Austin. Drop the Ball!! We are supposed to bring new tricks to the Jam. So I was thinking of some stuff that I could try out. I was goofing off with Pogo to Fwd Dork Wheelies. That was kind of cool but I really wanted to spin it into a mega spin. I didn't quite get it. Then I tried Pogo to Backwards Wheelie...I wanted to exite with a Decade..but my back brakes were acting up. (I have only come close to pulling that one) So then I trtied a old fave of mine with a new twist. O.J Roll to Mega Spin...I know it has to be possible because I have seen Adam Pintek do Boombs to Mega Spins. But I just cant get the mega spin from a dead stop. So in all today s riding was a stepping stool to the next trick. I will mange something new!! January 13 is almost here I got to bring something new to the plate!!! Keep on Riding!!!

I've been having some problems as of late so I haven't really ridden more than a few hours since October 12th. I'm also in the process of training for a new job which has cut into my riding time. The good in all of this though is I'm working at a place that has a 2 level covered parking garage, smooth as hell, and it's not patrolled (since the grounds are only accessible with a security card). http://www.chronixradio.com

I know exactly that feeling. I landed myself a new job , bought a house, and got married this year. Thru the entire year I was saying, "I have all year to ride". We'll I haven't touched my bike since about May or June, whenever the last time kimix and I rode. "I know enough to be dangerous" - http://www.perpetual-insanity.com/mbatbmx/

hey leeroy002, sounds like you are roped and bound.......i hope for your sake the wife realizes you need some time for the things you realy enjoy in life. i have no kids but i do own a home and any of you guys that are home owners, you know there is always something that needs to be done. i have slacked on getting my dinning room done for christmas.......spent most of my time riding. the weather has been so nice for this time of year here in nepa, i just couldn't bring myself to stay inside and scrape wall paper. i've been riding the 9pm to 11pm shift after work. working on getting out of a halfhiker. i should be able to just spin the halfhiker than drop it right into a mc circle? i'm getting closer. i'm getting turbineing on the front down pretty good the last few days. working on some diversity latey. just simple things......side yard i think? i'm very leftish......mostly on my left foot, so i'm trying to mix it up the best i can. its weird trying this side yard left sided, feels hard to do but workable. trying it right sided......i feel like i'm going to kill myself.

Learned a new big trick this week and pulled it 12 times today. Took a nice shot to the ribs too, but had one of my best sessions in years.

this season has been pretty rough on my riding; working tons of overtime, having a second child, and other factors.
