I'd suggest "Ground Rules" by Matt Wilhelm.

ground rules is a good video... but my opinion on "how to's", use them only as a reference... and not something to follow step by step

God forbid that you come up with a different way of spinning that's different from Matt Wilhelm...  Freestyle bmx is all about being yourself, and not an image of someone else

(currently doing a term paper on postmodernism... nothing is real anymore - everything is an imitation and an image blah blah blah)
if you're not familiar with postmodernism, disregard the last two lines above

Cool to hear that everybody likes Ground Rules.  The video covers a lot of the basics and shows you how to use the tricks in links and combos.  If you want a full trick list check out my website at www.mattbmx.com  There is also about 8 minutes of footage from the DVD on mattbmx as well.
Happy riding,
Matt

ground rules is a good video, however it should be used as a guideline. not a youmustdoitthisway video.

(first post since forums last updated, hoping this'll work)

ditto. It helps a lot when you get stuck on stuff and it gives you basic ideas on how to get in and out of certain tricks. But just gradually put your own spin on things.

Of course you should put your own style to it.  It's still called freestyle right?
