that's awsome rad dad! i just turned 31 in september. not all that far from 40. i hope good fortune allows me to ride as long as i'd like to. actually i just picked up the bike again late summer after a long six year break. its guys like you and the older crew that gave me the confidence to ride again. i wasn't sure if any older guys were riding these days. so after telling my brother i'm going to ride again, he says to me,"do you think you can still do all the stuff you used to do?". i said to him,"fuck you, i'm not dead yet you know ". well he was half right, it did take me a few months to get back to my old tricks. i'm still working on some of the harder stuff i was doing right before i quit. yet i have worked some new stuff in and thing have been going well. the more i see, the more i realize that age is just a number and nothing more. peace.

Hey Mark :) I totally agree with Joey's comment, in Flatland, age is just a number... Im turning 30 in February, and I just got serious about Flatland a year ago, after being fascinated with the sport as a 9yr old, and doing the odd front wheel pogo in Elementary School. The mind will always be young, it's the body that struggles with the beatings and recovery time, when u get older. lol Some Dads golf, some work on a car... there'll always be a handfull that ride. ;)

I know the feeling all too well, 35 here. Just picked it up again, about the fourth time since 1986. I'm sure I'll be running pegs on my wheelchair when I'm 90 ;) www.vegasflatjam.com

Looks like I'm not only one turning 40 next year. RadD, well we are both manufactured in 67...Cheers! Its funny 30-33 thinking they old...HA! Once in awhile I ride with some guys (not BMXers/Flatters) who are in their 40's...still amazing! Hell this one rider I know is in his 70s an x-Olympic rider during the 1940's, he still rides everyday. What's cool is being with ASC riders, who are all between 12-25 and still out running them, not so much in biking aggressively but surely when it comes to endurance and that's without any caffeine fixes or artificial stimulants....as said: you are what you eat be it through the mental, visual, and physical, as long as one filters away the junk, and keeps on laughing throughout out...can be youthful forever. I think at a any age if people stay open to explore, learn, and not be fixed about all "isms" in the world...that too helps in being solid... in other words don't end up being a tight ass MF.. Yeah Right...HA!

I'm 36, Coach is 37 and Hagness is 40. I know that those guys ride every weekend and I ride every chance I get, which is limited by the places available and weather. http://www.myspace.com/kidsbike www.bloodybikebrigade.blogspot.com
