i have been doing half hikers for quite a while, i can glide them for pretty long, but whenever i try a hitchiker i cant make the bars stay in the same position. i always scrape the bars on the floor and whenever i try to pick them up i cant keep the feet balanced... any tips except practicing? thanks Made in israel at 1992, 100% bmx addict, do not wash.

hey man, this trick is like the biggest pain in the ass to learn. first off make sure you are holding the tire, not the peg, it keeps things centered. keep the knees bent, and spring yourself for ballance. and try to stand on like ur tes, or as far forward on ur foot as u can... i hope i helped! keep riding, Trevor "Arent you a little bit big for that bike" " arent you a little bit big for a side walk"

It's easier if you don't have the bike directly in front of you. Tilt it to the side a little. Also, don't expect to hold it in the same spot the whole time, the bars are gonna go up and down a little. Anticipate the fluctuation in weight when you drop the bike forward. Keep them knees bent, but not locked. Have fun.

the best suggestion i could give you is what jamin said about keeping it to the side a bit, and keep your body in the same position as halfhiker, like dont throw your leaning way forward or way back.. just keep your back arched the exact same way it is and drop the front and grab the tire. ![]() TEAM WINNIPEG
