	i have chosen the rims and the hubs i want... the hubs are 36 spoke the rims come in either 36 or 48... is it ok to get 48 spoke rims so that if i ever change my hubs the rims will have more hub options? so basicly can i have a 36 spoke hub with a 48 spoke rim? - Nick

	Nothing is impossible, but you'd need to vary the spoke lengths or lacing pattern to lace 36 hubs in a 48 rim. Much easier to go with all 36s now, and sell the complete wheels if you want to go for 48s later.

	But think about what that does to your lacing pattern. You have a pair of spokes from each side of the hub to lace up, and somewhere in the middle of those 4 spokes you have to leave out one hole in the rim.... Going to give you a weird pattern and different spoke lengths.

	its deff doable...but if ur nipples are offset then idk how ud be able to skip every 4th hole and not lace it up 'wrong' ive seen it done before on here...but ppl never say how it turned so idk if i was you, id look for somone needing a 48 that had a 36 or just sell it and buy a 36.

	it seems stupid to get it in 48 if you have the option to get it in 36. why cause so much hassle? if you need to lace it weird later on, then do it, but if you don't you save yourself a whole lot of hassle right now. GT Sucks.

	You could also just lace it radial, although it will look a little different, it will work.
