ok so im rippedjeans. ive rode bmx for a year before on a shitty bike. it got stolen so i stopped. now my passion has returned haha. im lookin to get an 06 gt bump. is this what i should probly start with (for mostly street and some trails)? i hear all of you saying to all newbs to get a fit, so if you say thats better ill get it. also. how do you build a good lip on a dirt jump? is it like a bump kind of thing or a curve. like would a tree branch make a nice lip? ( its about a half foot in diameter and very straight) or wats the deal on that. alright thanks guys. :-D i love lamp

welcome to the board. saw you got the GT. building dirtjumps is a lot of work. start by piling a TON of dirt, remember that when it packs down, itll be half as tall. once you have a big mound of it, start shaping it into a lip. check out Ride UK, they always have awesome photos of trails to give you some great ideas of stuff to build. thats the beauty of trails. if you can imagine it, all it takes is some elbo grease and determination to get it done. keep having fun on your bike. thats all that matters. click here to see my gallery at CNYBMX

DUDE!!! my friend showed me this awesome set of trials. like fiften jumps in a huuuuuuggee long figure eight. it has a like levee high thing that you start on. go around, cross the levee high thing then go down the other side and it goes back up again. theres a slanted wooden wall at the top of the other hill then you go back down and your where you started. i guess these jumps have been here for like 15-20 years cus peoples big brothers rode them when they were little. so today was a great day. min day at school and rode the jumps all day. i love lamp
