NO! never ever carve the opposite way first (crave to carve) just ride straight, carve a little bit into the direction your spinning, and bunnyhop real swift, it looks like your manualing or hesitating a bit, do the hop real clean and fast. stay centered, dont lean real far back or forward, and dont lean too hard into the spin because you will go off axis which it seems your doin as well. it also looks like your trying to carve the majority of the spin and half ass actually spinning. you hafto carve only a small amount and do the spin yourself. to get a little extra spin out you can kick your back around with your legs. im gonna assume you already can fakie, if not go to an embankment and learn them first, and maybe spin 180s out of the embankment as well. if you do it out of stuff, than you can get a better feel for doing it flat. keep me informed.

yea i first learned em on one of those curbs that is not straight up and down, its at like a 70 degree angle, so its kinda like an embankbent, now im tryin to just go faster and kinda launch off of it and get my momentum forward so i can land completely in the grass. give the doorman a fucking high-five

Pretend your bike is part of a merry-go-round ride with a pole going straight up through your BB & the front of your seat. Now, if the bike were free to rotate on the pole, this is how a 180 should be performed. It seems as though you are kicking out your back end like you are going to x-up or attempt a tabletop. Just try to keep your body & bike in that pivot plane of the "pole" maintianing an upright position. Try allowing your hips to twist & like stated ealier, try to kiss your own ass (that is too funny!). Also, I have found that doing this manuver quickly helped me to better maintain my position but be careful for over-rotation. Let us know how you do.

| Also, don't pedal into the initial pull on the handlebars. JUst lean back a LITTLE and pull up. When you have pulled up enough (depends on your preference) just do the twist & you'd spin where you need to as long as you try to keep you body & the bike in line. If you are still having trouble, don't do a full 180. Just do whatever you can without kicking out the ass end too far. | |

| you basically have them but theres a transition time where i had to do them millions of times to actually start rolling back and then a milliion more times to actually rollback and then pull out of them... one thing i noticed is that the more behind your seat you are the easier it is to keep control on the rollback... its really easy to do the 180 and have all your weight on the handle bars and the front area of the bike but then that makes turning around (from rolling fakie) much harder... the guy who said learn them on banks has a good idea... i have a friend who is learning them that way too... once i started getting them to roll back i played around doing them off a curb and for some reason that helped me get the turnaround.. to me its a million times easier to 360 tiretap than to 180 rollback... but its one of my fav tricks now and to me its a pretty hard one that looks really clean when done well.. | |
