Ok so today i caought a flat while riding a session at my spot today so i buy a tire patching kit at the dollar store then im outside trying to patch my tube cause the reason why i caought a flat was somehow the old patch that i put (supposingly the piramid brand patches) came off so i had to try very carefully and peal off the old patch to put the new one and the it a brand new hole in the tube so im like Fuck it and throw the tube away.So i go to this shop to buy a new tube (which should be 3-4 dollars) but this DICKHEAD at the shop tries to charge me 5.60 AND tax ontop of that so i told him "DUDE are you fucking insane!?" and he tells me some cheesey shit like "why dont you go to africa and get some tubes" which i thought was pretty racist of him, somthing inside made me wanna knock the shit out of him for that but i dont like to stirr up trouble so i went to this bike shop 3 blocks away and found tubes for only 4 bucks and no tax and when i showed him he had this stupid look on his face like he swallowed a dick.
It's shit like this that makes me wanna go back to skateboarding

i think im gonna start ordering my tubes and stuff online only from now on to avoid this shit..

well first of all, yeah that guy was a dick.but go to wal-mart or some place like that you can get tubes for no more than 3 bucks . yeah sometimes the best thing to do is not blow up but take the higher ground and show someone how dumb and simpleminded they really are .

Well, from the other perspective, if some kid came into where I work and asked me if I was "fucking insane" for something like that, Id be quick to tell him to fuck off. Most of the time the person who is selling you the tube DOESNT own the shop, nor do they set the prices. If you were more civil about it, and he told you to go to Africa or a similar response, then thats just bad business, and it will catch up with him in due time.

The discount drug mart right around the corner from my house has bell tubes for $1.99 each...
Im actually in need of tubes... I bought those redline flight tubes for my bike thinking thinner lighter tubes would cut it cause its just a tube... pumped them up to about 140psi... rode my bike for a little while... set it down next to the couch.. So Im sitting there watching tv, then I heard this loud POOF noise and heard something smack against the wall... The damn valve stem shot right off the tube across the room... So I guess when it comes to tubes.. you really can't sacrafice strength for weight...

I have relied on Cuco (he rarely posts anymore) for my BMX needs.  Lately, I have been exploring buying from eBay, as well as from other Pedal members, since I can't get quality bike stuff in Puerto Rico, period.  Tubes, patches, cables, no problem, but go ask at some big bike parts stores for Odyssey, Fit, Snafu, etc., and they will give you the "huh?" stare...

Tofu, I didn't know you where a blacklander

Don't let someones racist attitude get to you. If you do that, the terrorists win, or something. Seioulsy though, be the bigger man and let him wallow in his own crapulance of hatred.

Albes. Twenty tubes for twenty bucks. AWESOME.

Walmart tubes have shitty valves that always blow out on me. I hate having to run 130 :(
