| So I was riding last night and trying some sort of floated boomerang thing when... kaboom! I hit the ground so fast. It happened so fast that event though I tried to put my hands it was too late- while I was hitting the groungs i could only hear my finger joints making some strange noise while bending, and not even my elbow saved me from hitting the ground with my face. So I can bearly move my fingers right now- can type but don't really have the strength to close my hand --less to grip something or grab a bag... has someone going through something like this? how long does it take for the pain to go away? | Ah man! Sorry to hear that. Sounds like you jammed your fingers real bad. I used to take karate lessons when I was a kid and would get jammed fingers like that all the time from blocking kicks with open hands (bad deal). I would put a cold pack on them for the first 24 hrs or so off and on to keep the swelling down. Unfortunately, it would take like 2 weeks to heal up or longer when it was worse! If it made a pop sound that could have been your joints popping or if it went snap that could have been a bone? I'd see a doctor if it doesn't get better after a while. I broke my wrist in motocross thinking it was just sprained, but ended up going to the doctor's after 1-1/2 weeks only to find out it was really broken! Good luck. | |

| If it starts turning blue and purple, go see a doctor. I had a buddy who "jammed" his fingers playing basketball and waited two weeks before going in despite his bent fingers and blue and purple look to his fingers. | I almost broke my finger completly off one time at chenga... I was rolling into a dump truck.. Went to grab the fork and the wheel was still spinnin kinda fast... My pinky finger some how ended up trapped between a spoke and the fork leg... it kinked my pinky finger 90 degrees sideways away from my hand.... like this is what my fist looked like i|||L if I were to have pointed it at you... I walked up to the guy at the counter and asked him if he thought I should go to the hospitol, and he was like "naah, just pop it back in"... so I grabbed it and pulled it back into place... made the nastiest noise ever... the guy at the counter cringed... it wasn't so bad after I put it back into place... so I went back to riding... My finger hasn't been straight since then... its still kinda crooked. You can spark it up, but im'a put you out! | |

| i took my thumb out of my socet , and broke it as well putting it back in on a dump truck- i useually grab the tire, and flot in , and that way i can put my bike as far back behind me when gliding it in a roll it will get better- people tend to heal fast tim how can you have an economy w/ nothing to loose? | |

| About 3 summers ago I broke my two middle fingers on my right hand,they broke backward and have never really worked the same since.even with physical therapy......... | |
