The Texas Flatland Round up 2 is right around the corner, just about a week and a half away.  The contest has gotten a lot of buzz around the community so we are expecting a lot of spectators.  This contest is all about having a good time and giving everyone a chance to show their skills.  Just like last year, this will be a very "laid back" contest with 100% jam format.  I dont want to take away from that atmosphere, however this year we do have to lay down a few minor rules.  Although the riding area is HUGE, the spectator area is not.  For this reason, only competitors bikes will be allowed inside and when you are not riding, it would be cool if you put your bike at the bike check, which will be located in a secure place upstairs or put it in your vehicle.  The people who own The Zone are very nice Christian folks and the gave me an outstanding deal to rent their facility for this contest.  They usually have roller skating sessions on Saturdays so their normal source of income will not be present that day.  Each and every person who enters that building that day will need to realize and respect that and anyone acting a fool will not be tolerated and will be asked to leave. As flatlanders we are all pretty courteous so I dont think I need to stress this very much but you know how it goes, one bad apple ruins the bunch.  This is a family oriented event and there will be lots of kids there including my own, so lets all watch our mouths and actions and lets have a great time.

Let's save all the drinking and fool acting for the after party which will be held at Nephews from 9pm to 1am.  This is the same place we had the after party last year and we had a really good time.  We will have a room reserved with big screen TV's just like last year so we could watch footage from the contest.  I am very excited about this contest and can't wait to see everyone.  Just like always, please feel free to contact me with any questions you might have about the contest or anything other questions you might have like things to do, good restruants to go to etc.

This goes without saying but everyone please have a safe trip to and from San Marcos.

Peace,

Chris Balles
