who's in?

rather than have the jam in july this year, i think i'd like to bump it to august 19-20 as a last hoorah before everyone returs to school!

what i don't know is the worldwide flatland schedule that may affect rider turnout on these dates.

so... if you know of something happening on that weekend that you think may cause a conflict of interests, please feel free to let me know. i'm going to send these dates to jamie mac at ten pack and see if he knows of any conflicts...

but if everything clears, mark those dates on your calendar and tell your mom you don't need new clothes for school... you need a vacation in vancouver!

be

there!

UPDATE:

Nev and ronin BMX will be in the hizzouse blowing out the remaining stock of ronin parts... so if you've ever had your eye set on a pair of ronin originals, you better get your ass to vancouver.

i'll also be reppin' 'flatland manifesto' and will be blowing out the remaining stock of FM vids for $5 each.

nev also had the great idea to make it a bit of a swap-meet as well... so bring down your old or unused parts... and a few bucks for yourself... and either unload those parts that have been collecting in your closet, or pick up that part you've been craving but couldn't see paying full price for!

Man I have been waiting to hear about this date. I really wanted an excuse to come to Vancouver. The date is perfect too, I get back from MyrtleBeach on the 14th and I have tickets to see TOOL the 25th so this is just perfect! One big riding vacation 8-)

Looks like I'll be seeing some of you guys out here for street justice this week too!

speaking of a swap meet... i have it through a good source that steph royer's old basic small town hick (complete) that was ridden in several videos will be available for sale by jam time (jeremy, i'm lookin' your way!). it's been completely rebuilt and repainted from stephs original red/yellow/green colors to all black. i don't have an asking price yet, but i will likely have the bike myself by the end of the month and will store it until the jam when it will be brought out for sale.

also... i'm trying to secure a major sponsor so we have a big name behind the jam... and then i'm going to the city to see about a location change to one of the new courts along false creek. the track is historical, to be sure, but some of the new areas that have been developed are simply beautiful and more park-like. hopefully i'll pull it together.

i'm also looking to secure and book some bands for a saturday after-jam party. nelson has offered us his home as a potentiality provided he hasn't sold it by jam time... and provided he'll let me bring bands to his home :) either way, this year will be the first year with a cohesive plan for after dark when we can all hang out off the bikes and get loose

and if kick-ass riders will tempt you to come, travis collier, steph, cory fester, jamie macintosh and cory stratychuk are already guaranteed appearances... so come check them out and rub their bellies for some flatland magic! :)
