Yea, I said it.

Just when a thread with actual meaning gets started it gets shut down.

Why? Because there was a disagreement.

People need a medium to have these debates on, so the issues can get solved, for the progression of the sport.

Who knows what James' post might have evolved into?? Maybe it could have been the beginning of a collaboration among upset participants. Arguments usually lead to resolution. Resolution usually implies a value proposition beneficial to each party, that is things getting better, progressing.

Awesome. Now let's talk about what fork to get someone who's been riding 3 months or how to do a backwards steam roller.

Fuck that, give this bitch some meaning.

What the fuck. Did it not only get locked, it got fucking deleted?! Most of the thread wasn't even shit talking. Most of it was people discussing judging...and it's kind of nice to see the cause of the uproar.

The larger the bureaucracy, the deeper the hierarchy. The depth is logarithmically proportional to the sum of the number of sensors and the number of effectors. The top of the hierarchy is a single bureaucrat with a title like "Director," "Secretary," "Administrator" or "Commander." The middle layers of the hierarchy are populated by mid-level bureaucrats.

I was asked by many separate people to remove the thread.

If that is "not helping flatland in any way" then so be it.

I just wanted to add some information.

I (me personally) asked nick to lock/delete the battle thread between jpm and southrider, and this is why :
I had gotten lots (and i really mean lots) or requests by what i would describe as
prominent and well respected posters to close that thread down.

The thing that tipped the scales was a certain poster asked for the thread to be deleted
because based on heinsight it would have been better to have tried to communicate
privatly, or even with a mediator.

Tempers were flared from 2 riders, and what was written was done from what I understand
on the heat of the moment. and that anything that followed after the first 2 "types of passion"
was basically non important or non relevant to the original thread.

After the the threads were locked appolagies on both sides were made, and a new more
positive way has been created to try and solve the way judging is done in the future.

I like reading drama as much as the next guy, and as much as I dont think it does the sport
of flatland all this damage what many people claim. It does however isolate and pick holes
at certain riders, and there is a time when we need to say hold on, reading this is fun but
it is now getting way to personal and this is not fair to a fellow or group of humans first and
foremost.

so dont blame nick, blame me.
I will take the blame on this one if it helps.

Mark
