| someone sent me a myspace link to a music fan site... MY music... from my band between 1994 and 1999. do you know how bad-ass it is to have someone build a fan site for your work? well, now i do... and it's pretty fucking cool!
the stuff he has is from our first tour of duty... the songs are from a 4 track recording made in my bedroom... which got worldwide distribution and a good review in maximum rock 'n roll magazine. yes, this music sucks... but it was a movement more than a band... a life-style rather than a music-style. have a look/listen. i'll be sending this guy some newer and rarer stuff, so check back... if you want... and please add it to your friends list! www.myspace.com/soldiersofmisfortune p "bite the bullet or swallow it whole" - mudvayne | |

| thanks jimbo... it's funny... i just put together a 19 song CD of our stuff and have been listeneing to it a lot. i FINALLY noticed that my band (meaning the drummer, bass player and guitar player) are pretty fucking good! the songs are original, the playing is tight and some of the riffs are downright genius! i'm pretty critical about my vocals, but i discovered when i put all the stuff together that it's is also unique with a distinct concept and direction. it's rough. it's raw. but that's what we were. more of those songs will be posted there soon... some are the same as those, but better recordings and better mixes. also, all this small scale hype has awakened the sleeping beast... and our bass player is coming back for an experiment: to write and record an entire album in 60 days... followed by a small series of shows. should be fun! thanks again, p "bite the bullet or swallow it whole" - mudvayne | |

| bad hamstring injury. i'm 3 weeks through it now and it feels a lot better (i can touch my toes again! :-P) but it's still blackened and sensitive with bruising. i'm sure i COULD ride again... but it was one of those injuries (at my age) that really turns you off of riding. it just popped mid steam-roller. i'm healthy, fit, active and i've stretched regularly for about 20 years and i STILL had it give out. i've given up on flat simply to avoid putting myself in that position again (gonna run marathons instead :wink:) as for the band... i've sent the guy who runs that page a 19 song CD so he can get some of that old shit off of there!!! :mrgreen: check back next week and hopefully he'll have it updated. also, the band has started making arrangements to write and record a new album. it's gonna take some time since our bass player moved back to california and is playing with other bands (as well as running a skate and record company)... but he's coming so i'll keep everyone posted. p "bite the bullet or swallow it whole" - mudvayne | |
