Is a 3.2 megapixel camera, still a good quality?

is it neccesary at all to purchase anything higher than 3.2,. I would be buying it for the mainly sole purpose of making it easier to take riding pictures whenever I want to.

let me know, thanks.

the biggest issue is the speed of the memory and the speed in which the camera processes the information.

do you plan to print pictures of use for the web?

Byke, as always is right on top of things. My camera is a 3.2mp, and I shoot in like 1.3mp mode, because I resize to 800x600 because all my pics go online, I do not print them out.

Is that what causes shutter lag (where you release the shutter and it takes a second to actually snap), or is shutter lag caused by something different?

shutter lag is how long it takes your cam's memory to save the light features/colors

if it takes more than a few 1/10's of a second you cant use it resonably for bmx

3 companies that are worth looking at - Canon, Olympus, and Pentax. Everything else pretty much sucks.

it says the shutter speed is

Shutter Speed 15 - 1/2000 Seconds

----------------------------------------------------

so it could be anywhere between 15 seconds.... and 1\2000ths of a second???

bogus
