I'm going to buy a new flatland bike from flatland fuel soon. but im no expert on the specifications of parts so could someone check to make sure all my parts are compatable?
Also im not sure of what wheel set to get. i know the freecoaster but not spokes or rims. any recommendations or things i should know about them?
This is my list so far:
KGB Psychopower Frame 3/8 - $269.99
Basic BMX Chain-Black - $6.99
Odyssey 41 Thermal Cranks Euro - $114.99
FSA Impact Integrated Headset - $32.99
05'/06' Odyssey Flatland Fork 3/8 - $89.99
We The People Defcon Dual Compound Grip - $8.99
Nankai Techno Lite Freecoaster w/ 3/8" axle and 11T - $104.99
Ares 88 Products Pedal - $15.99
Fly Suelo Pegs - $34.99 x 4 = $139.96 ($35 for 1?)
Primo Hemmorhoid Alloy Superlight seat - $27.99
Odyssey Mr. Clampy - $7.99
Odyssey G.I. Seatpost - $11.99
Fly Suelo Sprocket - $24.99
Bizhouse Dialyser Clamp Stem - $69.99
Odyssey Bar Mitzvah 2pc. Bar - $54.99(i might buy new ones)
KHE Lamello Tire - $17.99 x 2 = $35.98
Odyssey Evolver Brake - $29.99 x 2 = $59.98
Wheels ???
_______
Sub Total = $1078.78
Minus parts I already have = $910.83
= £513.81
Shipping (UK) - $199.99
Total = $1110.82
The blue prices are the parts i already have.
I dont think that shipping will be that expensive... i hope not anyway.
I have missed small parts like cables off the list.
Can anyone recommend rims / spokes??? i will be paying pat to lace my wheels for me. benifits of cross / radial??
Thanks :) The sister - "Its weird how they balance, they look like birds on a washing line"

Consider a long seatpost if you like to run it high, the PPower is LOW profile

heres my input:
Fly Suelo Pegs - $34.99 x 4 = $139.96 ($35 for 1?)
its 35 for 2, so 70 for 4, not 140
and for stem, i dont like the bizhouse, idk what your preference is, but id go with the quamen stem if i were you
http://www.flatlandfuel.com/item.jhtml?UCIDs=849786%7C889263&PRID=1284519
for tires, id go with freq gs, i swear their the best i love them
youve picked a back hub, but no rim or front wheel
i run a primo balance in the front and it holds up well, maybe ull want to consider that
http://www.flatlandfuel.com/item.jhtml?UCIDs=849786%7C889273&PRID=1521930
thats my front hub, it runs really smooth and plus you can get it in colors :D
spokes- i use primo spokes and they seem to be strong, ive had them for about 4-5 months maybe?
http://www.flatlandfuel.com/item.jhtml?UCIDs=849786%7C889275&PRID=1053943
maybe that rim for back
and idk how much you really want that frame, but if you want to try to save a little money you could go with something cheaper
for the fork, ive been running that one for awhile too, the only thing is your eaither gunna need to run quite a few spacer, or just cut the steer tube, which i did with a hacksaw and it took like half an hour, which you could prolly get a bike shop to do if you dont want to do it ] |

Ive decided not to get the Psychopower Frame. im going for the Psychonnecta instead. im not sure what headset to get though. can anyone help me out with that?
From what ive read its difficult to install a headset (ive never installed one before) so ill ask Pat to install it for me.
This is the new list: (i took off the parts i have already)
KGB Psychonnecta Frame 3/8 - $179.99
Basic BMX Chain-Black - $6.99
Odyssey 41 Thermal Cranks Euro - $114.99
05'/06' Odyssey Flatland Fork 3/8 - $89.99
WethePeople Defcon Dual Compound Grip - $8.99
Ares 88 Products Pedal - $15.99
KGB Control Pegs - $29.99 x 2 = $59.98
Odyssey Mr. Clampy - $7.99
Odyssey G.I. Seatpost - $11.99
Bizhouse Dialyser Clamp Stem - $69.99
KHE Lamello Tire - $17.99 x 2 = $35.98
Snafu Mobeus Detangler - $19.99
Primo HulaHoop Nankai Wheelset - $219.99
_______
Total = $842.85
There are a few more parts i need to add but nothing important.
I noticed a london mod type of thing on the frame:
Will that be ok as a sub for a london mod?

headsets arnt that hard to put in, except those frames use internal, idk if its the same, but with reg headsets, you could either get a mallet or block of wood, grease the inside of the headtube, and hammer the cups in, its actually pretty basic, just make sure you use something soft so you dont dent them or mess up the bearings or anything ] |

he's getting the older one, so it doesnt have an internal headset. but, yeah a block of wood and hammering the cups in works

you can also ask pat to press the cups in for ya, at least he did that for my frame, but maybe i'm special:)
and on cutting the odyssey forks: it took me about 10 minutes with a dremel tool, dont even try cutting it with a pipe cutter, the heat treated metal will destroy the cutting wheel. if you want a clean cut, your best bet would be to take it to a bike shop and have it done.
