well I bought the driver\cog I think its 9 t, its pretty sweet,. no more loose cog since its all one piece. I think they've been available for a while, not on flatlandfuel till recently though. I have gotten many a funny look from people walking by as I curse at the ground, lol. I curse the ground too,.. damn its called flatland... not bumpy-dip-land.

Having riden a certain sealed freecoaster that shall go unnamed, lemme tell you, the problems associated with cogs that small are too abundant to list. at times it seems like you can never go small enough, but that rule certainly doesn't apply here.

i wanna know when just the driver/cog will be available! :D those are still a few months away. Nankai is filling orders for complete hubs with 9T first and then they will start production on just 9T drivers. Patrick Schoolen http://www.flatlandfuel.com

i broke nankai cog yesterday. did sth like this happened to you? it was 12t cog, so i had to put back the 14t on it again and the gearing is really crazy, i hate light gearings, you won't get anywhere with it... maybe i could buy the one-piece driver.. You can. I put a one peice on my old (as in really old) Nankai. ![]()

yea im running a 24-11 right now and my chain rubs the frame a little bit Same here, the only remedy is to run my chain real tight, can't stand the clanging noise when my chain contacts the frame during a rideout. Cheers ~ Chester :) www.quamenbikes.com

Im running 24-11 and the chain has plenty of clearance left before it begins to rub. I think it has something to do with how long your rear end is. Im running an Ares AYEX with a 12.75" rear end. A 9t cog would be great for me. Apollyon Bike Company. ![]() SCG SHOE COMPANY

Even with around 23 to 25 tooth gearing a nine tooth driver would be very similar to a 44/16 ratio. It would be better for transportation but not flatland. Since you have to use more force to pedal more force is being transfered throught the drive parts and this may be something to watch out for.
