well.. my dad helped john lee hooker get off stage before he past away.. i thought that was pretty cool

Thats cool, I just went and saw John Lee Hooker's son in concert last night at a blues club. Really good performer. The blues is my favorite type of music, I play blues guitar as a street performer for tourists. I play blues harmonica as well. I love lightnin hopkins, robert Johnson, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Memphis Minnie, John Lee Hooker, Leadbelly, Mississippi John Hurt, Charlie Patton, B.B.King, Robert Cray, James Cotton, Lonnie Johnson, Skip James, Son House, Bukka White, Taj Mahal, Johnny Winter, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Hendrix. Plus a load load load more.

I love folk too.

it's about time you got in this thread!

i've met James Cotton. i've got an autographed harmonica from him also.

there is so much good blues, I cant begin to start you down the right path, huge amounts of different kinds of artists. I agree with drunkpunk360 buy the albums, but to find out about who you like i recommend listening to blues on satellite radio online somewhere, they have different categories they have, and you will find some you like surely.

electric, acoustic, country, slide, deep, harmonica, guitar, just vocals, there are too many kinds.
