I´ve heard bad things about this hub, but can someone tell me which are the disadvantages of this freecoaster? Based on your experience. What´s the difference between this and the nankai? If it is properly maintained , I think it might work well.

it will work fine, it just doesnt match the quality and durability of a nankai.

just buy it, i hear alot of people huff and puff about this hub. but honeltly it its ur first f/c its fine i think. if it lasts u a year it was worth the 20(?) dollars u paid for it. if anything ull be awsome at adjusting and o-hauling hubs once u get a good one. ![]()

taska's are ok and the best bit about them is they teach you how to fix and maintain a freecoaster! ![]()

Thanks for the info. but I want to change the super big 18t cog for a 11 or 12t cog, like the Kore on flatlandfuel, is it going to work with the taska? I also need some cranks, that is why I am buying such a cheap freecoaster, I´ll change it later for a nankai. "there is no action without reaction"

if u find ur f/c backpedaling when it shouldnt u can add a little tension to the chain to try to keep it from doing it. idk if u already tried this and its just something the taska hub does. ![]()

The Taska @ FF, I beleive is the older version, which will be ok in the short-term.(so cheap) The later version that I have, has been going for over year now.

I had the old aluminum shelled one that came stock with the Hoffman EP. I rode it for about a week before I decided it was too sketchy and dangerous. Use a Nankai. -A noble spirit embiggens the smallest man. -Jebediah Springfield
