So i have a bowflex and my older brother is off at college so i can actually use it now cuz i couldnt use it when he was or when he was watching tv in the basement (which was always) cuz it was noisy. So since hes gone i want to get onto a schedule, every other day i plan on working out for about a half hour. I know the basics for the muscles and good exercises but not enough to get through at least a half hour.... So if somebody here works out can they post a schedule they use or something or a good workout routine?

what i have found from working out in the past is that the last 2 inches that ur arms can go forward or whatever direction they go are the hardest by a ton, they each feel like 2 more reps each time. But im only 15 nearly 16, those workout plans are all made for older kids and often mostly only work because the people who use it are on strict diets and are just trying to loose fat, i really wanna build some muscle as well as loose fat...

ok then i would go with everthing they say but do more weight and less reps.
i do like 5-3 for my weight lifting... alot of musle and the more weight will help even it out.

it all depends on what you are trying to build up and do with yourself...

I am a cross country runner and a pole vaulter so my body is all messed up... I work my legs one season then my arms the next... its wierd

but depending on what you want to do i am sure i can get you like a high school level work out if you want

www.intenseworkout.com

this is where i got all my information and it seems all good and its a very helpful site.

my schedule is a 5 day stretch:
day 1-chest and tri
day 2-back and bi
day 3-abs
day 4-shoulders
day 5-rest

i dont have a day for legs cuz fuck that i ride my legs are fine. this workout lets all the shit heal that has to for certain exercises workin certain muscles. i have a simple bench with my bar and it has a preacher thingy, and i got a curl bar and some free weights. if you wanna know what workouts i do, ask

That sounds like a good idea dave but i think i would rather go with a full body workout every time... Some days it will be 3 days a week and some 4, itll go like this, monday, wed, fri, sun, tue, thur, sat, mon, wed, fri... kinda like that... I do plan on working out both the arms and legs because the stronger legs the longer i can ride... But yeah, ysf2 and dave, if u could post up a workout that would be great...

I'm liking my own routine of cardio everyday then upper body, legs, then off day. Very Simple and easy to maintain.

day 1: bench press, flyes, french press
day 2: dead lift, reverse pushups, curls w/hands facing down, preacher curls palm up
day 3: sit ups, leg lifts, and these half sit up twist things with a weight in ur outstretched hands
day 4: military press, lateral raises, shrugs

i also have daily cardio as part of that plan but i dont get around to it as much as i should. doin this and cardio and a change in diet helped me lose 55 lbs sonce last november. i was like 215/220 now im 160 and tryin to still get it down until i reach my goal which has nothin to do with weight but just not have a high body fat
