help! we just moved to a new house and I'm wanting to build a few jumps, berms, etc. Just wondering what kind of dirt I should ask to have delivered (don't say the brown kind, haha  ) I'd like it to pack good and make nice smooth jumps that don't just crumble apart. any ideas? amybody know what the ABA uses? thanks

dirt is dirt no dirt is not dirt. there dirt that packs really really good, that is or has a lot of clay in it. then theres dirt that sucks and wont pack at all. "Mabey music is'nt dead, mabey we all just forgot what it fuckin' sounded like."-Alexisonfire

thanks for the replies. I called around and got more info. The local BMX track recommends sandy loam, does this sound right? the dirt haulers I called offer topsoil or sandy loam. Best price I found was $175 for 10 yards delivered. I've got about a 1/4 acre to build on, is 10 yards of dirt going to be enough? any recommendations on topsoil vs. sandy loam? thanks again

I think I got a yard of dirt before and it was like the whole back of my dad's f-250 pickup. So 10 yards should be plenty to start with.
