Re: Car Salseman Rumsfeld Stepping Down! posted on 2006-11-08 11:05:10
woot, its robert gates!
He warned Bush 1 and Clinton that just because the russians were out of afghanistan, didnt mean to turn our backs, that we should pour aid in. We had created a monster and needed to do some cleanup
Also warned against moving al-queda to america and was dead set against the policy of giving al-q members houses and spending money in the USA
How much different might things have gone if Robert Gates was listened to back in the day?

they show one, which seems to be upside down, with the bottom of the headset on the top
that extra big dustcap(I think) at the top of the pic is what has me confused
underneath it is a flat very skinny washer, then the fork crown ( I think) then the bottom bearing cup
then the pic shows the top bearing cup, and underneath a split cone
the impact at dans http://www.danscomp.com/301064.php?cat=PARTS
Seems to be right side up, with the fork crown showing at the bottom
Or am I totally hosed and the split cone goes on the fork crown?

Have you got a link to the instructions for the fsa?

yes tranquilized, fly right by the facts like I predicted earlier
Whether you like 2+2 being 4 doesnt have any bearing on the fact that in fact 2+2 = 4

Ill one up you, I think congress should be an unpaid job :)
Course that might lead to even MORE corruption as guys would just weasel deals as they "worked"
Re: Vote in the U.S. posted on 2006-11-07 12:15:47
Im curious which constitutional rights you see up for grabs in this election
I see republicans wanting to mess up the constitution to stop gay marriage
I see democrats wanting to destroy the 2nd ammendment and also a democrat sponsored anti-flag burning ammendment
I dont want to replace the religious nutjob right with the racist, sexist, religious nutjob left
I hope like hell some third party guys get in

Im talking about in a trial like setting... I know they've accepted it as a new government... Im just saying perhaps sadams side should be heard in front of the un and let them decide.. Russia and France were both very against military action and they both have veto power... He may have a chance if it were a court like setting, letting all of the un be the jury.
Theres a lot of countries that hate the usa and its war, so they may take his side...
Russia and France were so against because they stood to lose a LOT of money. They were conducting types of business with Iraq in defiance of UN mandates. The new government is NOT obligated to pay Saddam's debts to Russia and France which is burning them up even more
Though this is an international manner its helpful to think of it this way:
A coke dealer has crossed the line and started capping too many bystanders. The cops want to come in and take him out, but two of the police commisioners are buying coke off the guy and dont want him busted
The LAW is still that the coke dealer must be arrested, but those in charge of enforcing the law have their hands in the cookie jar.
that may very well be true because america had no real reason for invading... so the country was invaded under false pretenses... which would make the current government illegal... but I guess bush still uses that "we were doing what the un should have done" excuse.
Thats not an excuse
The UN invaded Iraq in Operation Desert Storm , in the 90's
According to every UN charter dealing with Iraq since, the war is still on until certain conditions are met. Calling it Bush's war is like calling Bosnia Nixon's war. Clinton spent a lot of military resources policing Iraq, but we dont hear that from you guys do we?
This "bush invaded iraq" is religious nonsense with no understanding of the facts. It is pure woo
You can say "Bush had VERY poor planning for postwar Iraq"
You can say "Car Salseman Rumsfeld has made a total mess of things"
But plain anti-bush anti-whatever woo nonsense is no more sensical than Mohammed flying to heaven on a donkey, or Jonah spending some time inside a whale

I never said everything the US is bad (if you are pulling something out of what I said), I was just using Bush and Gitmo as an example of executive power and presidential immunity.
Yeah, I was carrying off pretty far and more talking about the general PC religion sentiment/euronazis/looney lefties/whatever the hell the Michael Moore-ons are called this week
I just say people have become SO polarized that the truth got left behind years ago
The polarization is so severe that people have abandoned the middle
The right wing is retreated into their churches, and actually considering changing the constitution!
The left has gone so whack as to blame all evils in the world on bush, hell some are so far gone theyre pushing this Loose Change, bush and the joooos blew up the WTC nonsense!
Insanity
The world has become so insanely polarized that religious whackjobs can kill innocent people at will with the full blessing of the left, as long as the religious nutjobs in question are brown skinned/hate america/hate israel

what do you guys think?
I think we should wait until he's actually convicted of something.
Also, if Saddams lawyers prove that he is the President of Iraq, leader, dictator.. whatever. It proves that he was illegally deposed from his position by an illegal invasion of his country by the US of A. He gets head of state immunity if this is true in the same way Bush isn't responsible for people dieing at abu girab, gitmo, or all over Iraq.
Get the picture?

Not to mire the forum down in a 15 page flame war over semantics, but technically, the first gulf war was still on.
Im a hardcore skeptic. You might see me smacking down some fundy weirdos, intelligent design proponents and religious nuts in general, and everyone always assumes that means your some sort of ultra-leftist knucklehead psuedo intellectual
Not hardly
I cant stand bush, but I sure as hell supported clinton every time he tried to stand down saddam hussein
It is of the ultimate hypocrisy that we make up these far out conspiracy theories about the gulf war, when we were only too happy to see clinton trying to end it.
The truth is the UN failed to act, for more than 10 years
In those ten years, including clinton's term what were all the euronazis saying?
"evil evil america, having sanctions and embargos against iraq so their children starve"
Lets tell the truth: those were UN sanctions that we ALL agreed to
As were the weapons inspections
So in effect, the ultra-left of the world, were giving the USA a "damned if you do, damned if you dont"
If we had the sanctions we were the bad guys (the UN sanctions)
If we continued to persecute the war we were the bad guys (the UN war)
Lets be honest about this and let the anti-globalist (ha ha the "anti globalists" talking on their global internet), "everything the USA ever does is bad" rhetoric fall by the wayside as we work to real solutions

Re: 19" Aqueduct or KHE RIP? posted on 2006-11-06 11:23:36
Seems like, if they made the jig, they could build one of these whenever they felt like it, whats special of the khe rip?
from fat bmx
"What's special about your signature frame?
Bram: Frames with straight tubes already existed, frames with bent and crossed tubes too, but none of the frames on the market had the best of these 3 mixed up in my opinion. So my goal was to design a frame with all these positive things together!"
Ahh, OK, still dont see any magic pixie dust that would keep this thing from being built if more people wanted it
While were talking KHE, I just ordered a geisha street. This thing is getting hyped up like mad around here. I always ride freecoasters, but my last KHE (rolex or something) way long ago, cost a bajillion dollars and lasted almost one day. Please tell me this geisha is better! I have a haro turbine which works sorta OK, but weighs a ton and is kind of unpredictable, same for my odyssey hub.
My nankai always works but these little girly 3/8 axles and 9/16 sleeves bend up from nothing
Re: Flat in Arizona? posted on 2006-11-06 11:06:10
Im there!!!
I probably will only bring my squeak scoot, waiting for some new parts for my bike, including some more flat oriented stuff than before
tuesday as in tomorrow right? Me and MB Ben are supposed to go out by the new goodyear park and he's taking pictures of a band, but hopefully that will either be early or later
