i landed a faceplant once into a soccer field, made out pretty well though considering I hit from a 10-15' (wasn't meaning to go THAT high...). broken nose, had to get my tounge and lips stitched back up, and my bottom lip got like disconnected from the inside of my mouth it was gross as fuck.

getting back into riding, help me revamp my bike? posted on 2006-09-20 17:53:26

well, i'm getting back into riding street again, i haven't touched a bike for a good 2 or 3 years. here's the bike i put together from old parts:
a mosh frame, a brass something star, 19 or so inch toptbe, chromoly, 14mm
unsealed 3pc crackns, i think maybe... industry, but i'm not sure.
snafu big block sealed pedals
some massively thick 46t sprocket that's been machined and drilled to crap
some generic chain
kink 2pc bars
chromoly fork, think it was maybe off of a... fit? maybe?
fishbone bigbore stem, some flames i etched in the front
aheadset sealed
chrome sun double wall 36h front rim laced to a sealed DK hub 3/8
sun double wall 48h rear on an unsealed mosh hub 14mm
no seat on it now (no guts/clamp), but I have a mosh seat (ganked it from my fried when he bought a new seat, i LOVE that seat)
no brakes
no pegs
i plan on throwing a pair of pegs on it, a smaller chainwheel, maybe 36t, and obviously a seat. any suggestions? i might get a new frame, I'm 6' 1" so I'm a little tall for that.

Well, I haven't ridden in a good two or three years, but last weeknd i was screwing around on my friend's bike and decidd to get back into it. Anyone want to fill me in on what I've missed? apparently there's a new standard bottom bracket that's replaced American? O_O
