Re: Im getting the 18T profile sprocket. posted on 2006-10-30 08:26:40
An 18 t Profile sprocket won't work with aluminum Hindenburg cranks. They don't have the needed hole. The 2006 Hindenburg cranks (cromoly ones) do have the additional hole.
Re: adapter for profile sprocket =| ? posted on 2006-10-29 17:16:34
I highly doubt you'll make it work with 22 mm spindle, sorry.
The reason for this is that Profile sprockets are natuarally 7/8" (22.2 mm) and come with adapter for 19 mm spindle
You can only put it on a bike and deal with that "loose" position.
Sorry my English isn't superb.

The Chris King headset costs $115 brand new, so judge yourself.

What did Gsport have there?
Did anyone see the 2007 Odyssey Flatland fork there?

Hmmm. the friction between those splines and the inside of the shell is what keeps the whole thing from slipping when you pedal forwards.
Better to keep grease away from the splines as much as possible, just grease the threads on the inside of it.

No Colin, you're wrong. The force that appears with pedaling is enough for making the wheel spin, even with grease on the splines.
2) I keep getting this clunking sound in my hub when I stop pedalling and it disengages. I've always put this down to a slightly bent axle, which I've then changed. I normally change the bearings too when this happens. What is the problem? I seem to have found a solution - but it's an expensive one. I'm s fairly smooth rider and seem to go through way more parts than I 'should' be.
I know what you mean. I used to have the same problem. You should grease the splines of this part:

My KGB bars have the right grip tube with upsweep and left without upsweep, too.
