i learned with the manual infront of a curb method. pretty much you either get hurt or learn it real fast. keep the hands off the brakes and just pull up a couple feet away from the curb. make sure you dont jump early too, cause you will case the front and thats no good either

like the dude said.. Fit is the way to go. it doesnt matter if you dont think fit frames are trendy enough or whatever you reason is. fit is one of the best inexpensive brands out there. ive had my aitken frame for a long time now and i bought it used. if i havent broken it yet, its a damn good frame. if you are looking into some crap company like snafu or (i dont know much about stolen) stolen... why are you asking people for opinions? i am not trying to piss you of man, but you ask people questions and then try to argue that snafu is the way to go. why not just get a snafu, let it break and then come back and ask peoples opinions?

i rode someones bike with the new fly pedals... those things are crazy. they are real grippy and he says they are good enough for street. i doubt you can do pedalgrinds on concrete, but if you can afford them id say do it. either that or ive never had a problem out of jim cs

ill see about getting some pictures up, but for now what im talking about is.... i have a cassette with a busted flange. i have an average non-cassette wheel laying around and was wondering if i could take all the cassette stuff out of the one and make the non cassette a cassette
wheel swap posted on 2006-08-13 08:10:42
ok so i have a cassette wheel that i trashed the hub on... is it possible to take the guts and put them into any other hub? ive never really taken a cassette apart before.

im not gonna tell you to get all these, but this is the bike I would build...
Frame is all a personal choice.
cranks Profile are light and no pinch bolts
forks. macneil. or odyssey dirts. they will last and have a warranty if not
bars. i have T1 bars and they arent as horrible as people say. i love the sweep
seat macneil no matter what
i dont know shit about new wheels but my odyssey wheels are still good.
stem. odyssey elementary. its soooo light and strong.
KHE has those new super light tires. i dont know if they work well but i hear they are light.
get some fly pedals. light and sticky
animal edwin grips all day. i love em.
if you wanna go all out get some ti parts and some carbon fiber washers. the carbon fiber doesnt save much but at least they look cool. did i miss anything?

Re: stems again... posted on 2006-07-15 17:42:12
yeah, if you put it where it belongs people will just tell you to use a rubber mallet or something. so consider that a early christmas present since i didnt bitch you out like other people will for putting things in the wrong place.

i have a sun big city rim in back and a hula hoop in front. the hula hoop is bent and flakin off but the big city is real strong. its put up wit tons of abuse and underotated 360's. its still straight as it was when i got it and theres no dings in it or bends at all. id recommend it if your not a weight weeny.

i had one of those too, it was a good wheel. the only problem was after a while the chrome(orwhatever) coating started flaking off and gives you some metal splinters that burn like a mofo. other than that the wheel was real nice.

i remember 2 years ago me and my buddy were bored on the 4th of july and we were both brakeless.... we decided to go down this HUGE hill brakeless between the 2 lanes of traffic and people were trying to run us over and everything. it was actually kinda fun. i like the idea of not being in control of certain things. thats why a lot of people started riding right? i mean coming off a humongous jump and not being sure if you can land is part of th thrill when you roll away. if you get hurt, who cares, its a dangerous sport
Re: bike weight posted on 2006-07-13 13:48:32
im scared of these tiny light as F*ck bikes. i think they will just snap in half

i agree with that guy^^^
Re: rims posted on 2006-07-12 21:15:53
ive had a hazard lite rim for a while now, and if I havent broken it riding stupid shit, you shouldnt either. i break all kinds of stuff and its also not the heaviest rim ever.

Re: bike weight posted on 2006-07-10 15:37:53
what did you do to lose so much weight? im about to get an elementary stem and macneail seat/post combo. i hope to lose a pound and a half. i dont know what else to do without spending a million dollars on titanium stuff
bike weight posted on 2006-07-09 19:51:18
how much does it really matter? my bike weighs in at 33.5 lbs and i can still do a lot of stuff
