hey.. i need some help i baught a haro mirra last year for a good price im liken the bike over all but i got a couple of things that i need to get fixed and a good opinion or a couple. before i bought the bike i bought an oddy complete rim the hazard lite with the hazard lite cassete in right hand drive. the haro came in left hand drive wich i really liked because i grind on my right hand side and screw up chains all the time. i am also riding breakless right now because i dont have any decent breaks and dont feel like working on my shitty ones to try and get them good. heres were i need some help. this is super hard to not make somfusing so ill try my best. i want my bike to get a smaller gear ratio so i can get the mcneil bash guard if i got new breaks like the new fly ones would the lower stack height be that much of a diffrence compared to my one i have right now which are dia comps. the main thing is that im getting at is i want to be able to ride street without breaking my chain. and i would also like to use my hazard wheel because if im not it kinda feels like i just wasted all that money. anyways it would help a shit load if yous had any ideas
thanks: jeff

if u only had front brakes it would make fufanus as hard as doing them brakeless because it dosnt invlove locking up the front its all with the back
Re: Is my hellcat good for street? posted on 2006-11-05 15:47:34
theres no reason why it isnt good for street unless u have lots of money for are really good u may want to get a street specific bike with smaller gearing and stuff like that but your bike will be fine

i have just front brakes on now and it works fine its almost like rideing brakeless because of the lack of locking the back wheel up ecept that u can still stop if u need to without wearing out your shoes and my front brakes arnt good enough that itll flip me over just lean back a bit and your good.

does anyone ever run just front brakes with street? i know that the most stopping power is the front brake and that with a front brake u dont have to worry about the cables getting tangled up so why dosnt anyone ever run just front brakes? other than makeing stuff like fufanus hard i dont see any reasons or maybe getting flipped over the bars

right now im rideing pegless with brakes because my town is full of huge ass hills the only reason i took my pegs off is because when i have my pegs on i grind random shit for fun and id like to get better at other stuff than just grinding like 180s and rideing fakie and such after i get some of the basics down ill throw back on my pegs and be all that much better

Re: 14 stair. posted on 2006-09-28 19:27:24
yea 14 is pretty big id say make sure that u land back tire first and if you have a decent wheel set a straight on landing can take quite a hit

the fit sounds like a nice bike if only i had a dealer around me and since i live in canada the shipping usually kills comming across the boarder... so it looks like im gonna give the norco a try it looks good enough and since i have a dealer nice and close it comes in handy rather than haveing to drive an hour and a half to the better dealer
