London Ontario comp.Cancelled!! for May 19,20&21st posted on 2006-03-19 12:17:49

Neela, how about covering the "precious" concrete with plywood? Maybe we could get a home depot to donate the wood. It would be better than riding on those blocky concrete blocks they have at City Hall anyways. There would have to be an erea of 100x100. or 2 ereas of 50x50. (Jees, I wonder how much that would cost?)

Neela, you are so cool!!! I've forwarded a pm to Chris P. IT was long, and I not a good type writer so I've asked him to send it to you once he has read it.

I would Love to get involved with the Kinsmen demo.

Neela, I tried to look at the plans but couldn'd find it. Or may I did, but didn't think it was it. I sorry you got no response. Even though you have already sent something in, to be on the safe side 5-8 riders could use a spot that was 60x60. anything bigger would be a waste of space and it would LOOK empty most of the time. It's like a dance floor in a club, if there's to much room the club look's dead.

Cory, Check out the dates for the Voodoo Jam. The Pros Can't be in one place at the same time.
I see if I can get something else arranged.

Fellow Riders, It is with great regret that I am forced ( due to lack of proper support) to cancel this years London Comp. that was slated to be held at the Velodrome on May 19,20,& 21st.

If anyone is interested in organizing any type of event at the velodrome please feel free to contact Rob Good through the forest city velodrome website.

Once again I am sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused anyone. I am still a strong supporter of flatland and will continue to ride and enter contests as often as I can. If any of you ever need help organizing or need contacts for an event in the London erea, feel free to give me a PM.

Thanks you.
Rob Savard

WOW!!!!!! Great work ASC!!!! The actions taken by this group is what will secure the beginnings of a strong future for bmx flatlanders (and other BMX sports), and get it out there to the masses. The sooner we do so, the bigger the Comps/Shows/exposure/popularity/RECOGNITION we will get out of doing the thing we love to do, Ride!!!!

So guys, make the effort to support them. They are working in our behalf. Get out there and enter competitions, make it to the Jams, organize events ect.... Just represent It's the best thing you can do. Keep up the good work!!

Neela, I would Love for you to set up some sort of a booth or whatever you want at the velodrome. Whatever you want you got it!!!

CFO'S Flatland's Unlimited Results!!!!! posted on 2006-03-07 17:10:53

Great work CFO!!!! Considering what you all had to deal with getting your foot in the door to bring flatland back into the exibition place it was a job well done! As for feedback on what could have been done better. Guys, it doesn't matter what you do, someone always has something negative to say about events. The contest was indoors, clean, there were plenty of spectators, prises and purses were great! There was enough space for the amout of riders. As far as the floor being to splippery, Derocher didn't have a problem  . Everybody had to deal with the same conditions, it's how you adjust to it that counts! 8)

Just came back from the Dome to meet Chase. We have been able to get even more room for this Jam. We are going to be able to get the other end of the rink approx.40x40. Guys there's going to be lots of room!!! I can wait! 8)

Bring your digital cams. I will be using this Jam to create the official flyer/Post for the London Comp.

Sorry guys for the large pic! For Saturday, most of the stuff you see on the floor will be pushed back for additional space. For the London competition it will all be gone. Don't forget to bring some warm clothes. PS: Let me know if you need a place to crash.
