Titanium fork for sale. posted on 2006-02-13 23:56:50
Hi guys.
I am considering selling my Mike S titanium fork.
It accepts 10mm axles and have brakemounts.
It's as good as new with absolutely NO bends or tweaks at all. I've ridden it for about a year.
See it here when it was brandnew !

See it here mounted on my bike:

I'm asking around 125 USD + shipping for it.
I live en Copenhagen, Denmark (yes .. that's in Europe :-))
Let me know if you're interested. Send me an email via pedalbmx[at]oiio.dk
for every 10 euro it is = to 12.07 american.
it will cost 783.34 for the frame. i talked to soul-cycle. a little too much for me
Yes .. titanium is an expensive material. No doubt about it.
But it IS stronger and it IS lighter than cromo. Which makes it the perfect material for me. A 220 lbs flatlander from the cold country of Denmark :-)
By the way; I also like the looks of it :-)

I wouldn't buy one, since, once again, cr-mo stuff is getting lighter and lighter. I assume that Quamen will soon be able to produce a 4 pound or something g8 pretty soon for no more than $400.
You guys are right.
ChrMo frames ARE getting lighter all the time which is a good thing, but not without the cost of strength.
My Solo Ti frame weighs 1.6 kg / 3.6 lbs and is holding up fine.
I got it kind of by accident, but I haven't regretted it one bit.
It's a very nice frame with nice geometry.
But that's a whole other thread :-)
And so is the price of titanium question !
See ya and feel free to ask questions !

I have the Mike S Ti fork and it is strong as hell. I am a big guy at 220lbs and I have had NO problems with it what so ever.
I used to bend the dropouts on my regular Mike S forks but not these ones.
You can see different pics of my bike here if you want too:

Or a complete 'shot' of my bike almost as it looks now here:

Thomson Seat Post? posted on 2005-06-03 01:56:34
I'm using one and it is the ONLY seatpost I've had that holds up. I'm a big guy (220 lbs) and I ALWAYS bend my posts. This one has kept alive for the last year or two without any problems at all. I'd recommend it any time !

If you think 21 inches (53 centimeters) is wide then yes; they are wide.
what was your first bike posted on 2005-05-26 12:38:47
I started out on a red Raleigh Burner :-)
Then switched to a GT race bike.
After that I seriously don't remember what happened, but I switched to GT freestyle bikes and frames for a long time.

that bike man! :P
if you go these parts, your bike would be best ever:
eastern ti crank arms, ti pegs, ti headset cups from standard bike co, drangonfly ti seatpost, rnc ti barends, rnc ti sprocket, proper magnati hub, ti spokes, rnc ti seatpostclamp, ti tires.
that's fricken awesome, love the bars too
DAMN flatlandpercy. That'd be SOOO expensive. I do have the RNC ti sprocket and seatpostclamp though :-)
Not sure about those ti tires !!

sequence peg vs bizhouse peg posted on 2005-05-18 12:51:20
I've had both.
I rode the Bizhouse pegs for a month. Then took them off again. They feel SOOOOOOO bad. The rubber rings kept sliding around and I just couldn't get used to them.
I now ride the Sequence pegs and they are like a million times better if you ask me.
I had to put my OG pegs on in the back though as the dropouts on my Solo frame tore my shoes up with such small pegs. But that's not Sequences fault :-)
So I'd go for the Sequence pegs any day.

I don't have the 'sweaty palm' problem so I really can't comment, but again; ask boii.
