Flatlandfuel just got their shipment of Persevere.  Just wanted to let everyone know.

Be sure to check out Pete's interview in the new Cream issue #24, too.  Pete has a

ton of brand new shit that will blow your minds.

Just so eveyone knows too, I want to credit Adam Pintek with the cover

and Ad design.  Peace love and respect as Pete would say....

The Pete Brandt Solo DVD - "Persevere" is here. posted on 2007-06-01 01:44:51

Persevere has arrived and will be in stores for sure by June 10 worldwide.
Be checking with Flatlandfuel, they will have available even sooner than
that.  Cream Magazine also has a nice interview on Pete in #24 due to
be out in early June too, so be sure to check that out.  There are some sick

pictures of Pete's new tricks, (the skyflip and pumping blenders and a slew

of Pete's insane new stuff) which are all  featured in Persevere.

We are including a CD along with Persevere as well, that has the entire

soundtrack of Persevere DJ'd by Pete himself along with 16 other original

tracks that Pete has created and produced specifically for riding over the

last 2 decades.   Hope you all enjoy it and are able to get one.  They are going fast....

I haven't been in here in awhile, but I have to say it's cool to see this thread on Pete.  I can honestly say that in most any circle of riders this same kind of props get's lifted about him - he is definitely a "rider's rider". His much anticipated solo DVD is coming very soon.  "Persevere"  is going to cover 2 decades of his riding to present and will feature his new backyard riding deck,(just featured in Cream magazine) crazy new riding sections, Pete's insane antics and a closer look at one of the best riders of all time.  A lot of people don't even know that Pete is an amazing mix artist/DJ as well.  He has constructed all of the tracks used in "Persevere" and we will be releasing the tracks on an audio CD along with the DVD in a double case for all you're riding MP3's.

Most importantly, just so you all know - all proceeds from the DVD sales go to Pete Brandt to support his riding and family, so you will each be helping support his riding directly by buying "Persevere".

That was mr. Pete Brandt for the record, not Chris.  I've been going through all kinds of old Brandt footage for Pete's solo DVD, so I'm familiar with who's who and whats where.  If anyone wants real TV  Chad J has them on DVD.  Just request it from Pat and FFuel.  Help support the guys who have been supporting flatland for decades and bringing it to riders like yourselve's accross the globe.

Prime time flatland-it has been awhile.  Great job guys.  It was great seeing 2 of the best riders in the world ride on prime time television.  Matt and Terry - you guys are a credit to the Artform/sport of flatland.  I've watched you both come up and your both amazing riders and people.  The veteran riders know the story of television riding spots, but that fog action looked like an all new challenge from hell.  So many people saw that last night, I've already had a few kids come up in my neighborhood and compare my riding to what they saw.  With all the shows I do I know i'm going to hear that over and over for the rest of this year and quite honestly i'm proud to be even put in the same sentence as Adams & Willhelm.  You guys are a credit to what it means to ride - thanks again for what you've done and are doing for flatland.

2 cents posted on 2006-05-07 20:18:17

I'll probably never buy anything other than the bizhouse grips, just from a standpoint of how cost effective they are. They last forever and cost very little. I know this has been beaten to death here in pedal, but if your hands haven't bled and ached through countless blisters, your not really riding much. Blister upon blister will forge calouses that will withstand the toughest sessions without any pain whatsoever.

*** Tip of the day - use hot water and soap to soak your bizhouse grips in for a few hours. It will soften them back up like new and keep them from cracking too quickly.

***If you ride get a paumice stone in the medical section where you get foot products and also get a heavy duty hand scrubber and use it on your hands when you shower - your hands will be perfectly clean and your calouses can be sanded with the paumice stone so your hands have a softer feel for that special lady instead of scratching her senseless.

That article is amazing. Just reading that has confused, educated, revealed and inspired me. Chase is definitely one of the godfathers of flatland. I think everyone that rides should read that article. It will enhance your understanding of the riding lifestyle give you the low down on a guy that has helped shape our artform what it is today.
Thanks Chase, Glenn and BMX freestyler.

why are you on Pedal? posted on 2006-04-19 10:10:22

Man, I seriously was thinking of making this exact same post today believe it or not. Most of us are here I hope because they can't ride because of work, weather, or other valid excuses and are thinking about flatland. Here's my reason:

**To commucate with other real riders, worldwide.

Ride, progress, connect and stay positive out there, despite what you might read in here. Everytime I see something negative in here I just think about all the good things that pedal has done for the global flatland community. Keeping us all informed of contests, parts, bringing up discussions that make you really think and above all connecting riders in a way that few other ways of mass communication can. Running one of these forums is hard work too, so I think we all should give big props to Nick Busey and everyone involved in making pedal possible! Thanks guys.
I'm off to ride.

bikeshop posted on 2006-04-14 10:05:00

It's funny how many people that ride have similar stories with their own local bike shop. I've always wanted one of those shirts or sticker "support your local bike shop". That's dope that your getting hooked up man - anything to help your riding is where it's at.
I have a bikeshop here in Fresno that has been giving me parts and discounts for years and totally supporting other riders. They have a day when they have promotional stuff like radio and TV and we usually roll out and ride for free just to help them out and help them sell bikes. It's all about being positive to people and representing flatland correctly. I can honestly say that cool, positive people have been opening the doorways to every great thing that's ever happened for my riding.
