Re: Recommendations for a large beginner posted on 2008-07-22 17:03:47

I'm 215 lbs. and ride an Ares "Force" and it's the best frame I've had, so far. I snapped a "Free Agent" frame at the bottom triangle a few years back when I use to ride both "Street and flat" but other than that it don't really matter.

Get an "Ares" frame off of FLATLANDFUEL.COM their are alot of frames on sale for like $100! That's a good deal right there, so be sure to check that out man. Goodluck!

Yeah I think you should learn some basic tricks and just replace anything you need from there. Shoot I started riding flatland on a cheap-ass wal-mart bike and now 6 yrs. later I have an Ares all fully customized my way with all my favorite parts. Goodluck!

VooDoo Jam help... posted on 2007-06-18 17:47:15

Hey wassup riders... Yeah I was just wondering if there are any riders driving to the VooDoo Jam and passing through New Mexico along Interstate 40? The reason for this is that I'm all up for competing in the Jam, but don't have enough cash for the discounted hotel they offered and a round trip plane ticket. So I was wondering if I could hitch a ride to the Jam. I'am willing to help pitch in for the cost of gas expences. I know that this might be asking too much, but the VooDoo Jam is the biggest Jam now and I wanna compete... Well if you'd like to know more or are interested hit me up at: native_magic05@yahoo.com or 505-240-4801 that's my cell#..... Thanks, E-Jay...bmxciain

Keep on shredding!

Re: Hang Five Hell posted on 2007-02-14 18:39:47

Hey dude just keep at it. My personal experience is still going with hang 5's. For me I found it easier to ride into the hang 5 position at a slow speed, but not to slow, or you'll just flip and end up on your face. Make sure your getting your bike up high enough and it's very important that your seat makes contact with your butt, cuz that will make the trick solid and help you to maintain your balance. I ride brakeless too, so I have to hit the sweet spot everytime, or I'll fuck up and have to try again. I also found it easier to keep my peg leg and arms slighty bend, but solid. So try it out, but that's what helped me out a lot too and I'm the only flatlander in my area, so I made it my goal to learn these, cuz one way or another your going to learn it, so just keep at it. Lates man...

GROUND TYPE posted on 2006-02-08 15:28:39

I prefer aspalt over the rest because concrete makes it seem like my tire is low when it really isn't and tennis courts eat up my tires quickly. I've always rode aspalt and it's never failed me...
