Re: what kind of lacing???? posted on 2006-12-30 18:37:42

All lacing paterns feel the same to me. I've had both wheels radial but the rear wheel spokes always broke and the wheel had to be tuned alot so i did a 2x wheel for the rear and it worked perfect. Never had to adjust it. The front wheel radial was good. None of the spokes broke and i never had to adjust it. Today i laced a 36h hub to a 48h rim. Looks realy good. . As others said more crosses = stronger(more flexible)wheel. For flatland any pattern will do fine if you don't ride hard.  If you inflate your tires at 100-120 psi you'll roll and spin like crazy

How fast do you go though tires? posted on 2006-12-17 17:12:39

I'm running 1.75 freq g's for 10 months and they are almost done. How long do your tires last? Do you wait untill the tire wears out all the way or do you change them when there is little tread left?

What do you thing about it? i've read it's super smooth and realy light(193g). Does anyone use it?

Re: bw to fw steamroller practicing for 3 month... posted on 2006-09-18 14:34:50

I realy can't help you more. You just have to feel the trick to make it work. You have to picture yourself what you have to do. Lean in and than on the peak of the turn at around 270 lean yourself out(that is impirtant that you body changes direction and the bike will just follow) and roll a fw spining steamroller or something... I would make a video but tomorow i have to finish my tattoo so i won't be riding for a few days. I can turbine it normal and oposite handed and switch handed. The normal one(left hand and foot on the bike, right hand on the seat) feels somehow the best becouse the turbine is in a larger circle. Such a nice feeling

Re: bw to fw steamroller practicing for 3 month... posted on 2006-09-13 10:57:53

Steam turbine is a bw to fw. G turn is a trick.. To go from bw to fw you have to lean in and when you do like 270 you lean out and the bike folows. I'll have to make a video to show you...

Re: Hang 5 help posted on 2006-08-16 00:25:16

Lift your front pegs on a curb or something and than just try to stand in a hang 5 position. That way you'll feel what a hang 5 feels like and where the balance point is without having to bail much. Becouse alot of people when learning hang5 push the bars too much and that trows you over. When you know what the balance point feels like you'll be more gentle on the bars. Also try not to use any brakes. You'll learn it faster. Everithing else is practice.
