Re: WTB: Titanium Fork posted on 2006-11-02 16:43:11
the bearings support the spindle, and the arms are very close to the bearings, so you wont notice any flex on a ti spindle compared to a cromo one. frames/forks have big long unsupported tubes, so you will notice more flex.

i have a gt fork thats slightly bent, so its like a minimal offset fork. haha.
Re: Why the hell are Chris King parts so expensive? posted on 2006-11-01 19:34:00
because they're really well made and they use an entirely different engagement system than normal cassette hubs.

the best ive heard of is putting your information on a sheet of paper then putting one of those plastic protective sheet covers over it and putting it in your seatpost.
Re: Im getting the 18T profile sprocket. posted on 2006-10-29 20:06:36
exactly, its completely useless aside from flat. in order to run a normal ratio you would need about a 6 tooth driver. even if you get the mix with the 8 tooth driver you're still gonna be spinning like crazy and going nowhere.
Re: Bikeguide gone for good? posted on 2006-10-26 06:55:50
it's been down for a couple weeks, but it supposed to be back up soon.
Re: Im getting the 18T profile sprocket. posted on 2006-10-26 05:45:21
for street, there's nothing available to run a normal gear ratio, that sprocket is meant for flatland. also, you do know you need to be running special cranks with the sprocket hole thats closer to the spindle boss right?
Re: 36 spoke hub to 48 spoke rim? posted on 2006-10-24 22:55:59
it seems stupid to get it in 48 if you have the option to get it in 36. why cause so much hassle? if you need to lace it weird later on, then do it, but if you don't you save yourself a whole lot of hassle right now.

Re: odyssey reloader and other nicer freecoasters posted on 2006-10-20 19:59:01
that's normal, same thing happens on my geisha. just take it apart and grease the clutch and it will deaden the noise.
Re: KMC halflink chain? posted on 2006-10-20 11:41:49
before bikeguide went down there were about 4 threads with people bitching about how shitty the kmc half link chains are, and probably 10-15 people replying saying they also had problems. i would avoid it.

rnc 25t ti sprocket for sale (sold) posted on 2006-10-17 10:23:22
$40.00 cad plus shipping. pretty much perfect aside from a small indent in the bolt hole from the locator bolt. doesen't affect the performance of it at all, and there are 2 bolt holes, one of which is unused. it's perfectly straight and very light. it has 2 mounting holes for a guard. amazing price for this sprocket as the price of titanium has skyrocketed recently. i'd like to sell it in canada. kyleoxborough@hotmail.com
i don't have an actual picture as i don't own a digital camera, but i can get one if someone is interested.

?? it's true. if you have a flat, and you want to ride, fix it. you don't even need to buy a new tube. you can use tape temporarily if you have to. you have nothing to do with your energy? get off your ass and fix your bike! if you were really as depressed and bored as you say you are you would do something about it.
