I haven't been on here in forever, but the website looks pretty dead right now. However, I need some advice, so I thought I'd post anyway.
I've been off my bike for a little over a month due to the removal of a plate from my shoulder and a separated ligament in the same shoulder from an unrelated crash. Fortunately, the two were mostly overlapping so it was less time off the bike.
Unfortunately, I broke some parts in the process of crashing. I.E. my bars.
I'm 6'3" and running a 20.6" frame. My knees do tend to hit the bars on occasion. The bars I was running were 7.5" rise.
So my question is, what difference would a switch to 8" rise bars have in my hop, the handling and feel of the bike, etc?

My dad broke his 2 weeks ago? Yea and like you said, he didnt need surgery. They gave him this brace that goes around your shoulders kinda like a back pack, and it holds your arms back so the bone can set. Get well soon man!

I had that brace your talking about on for about a day, but it was a cast. It's called a figure 8 and it was more of a torture device than anything. I went to see another doctor and they pretty much said that that wasn't working and I needed surgery. I honestly don't think the first guy knew what he was doing.

yea I broke my clavicle on Monday. I'm having surgery next week and having a plate and six screws put in. After that it should be another 6 weeks before I can ride. Fun. Fun.

When first learning to 180 up stuff, I found it easier to come at an angle if possible. This makes it much easier to get up the obstacle and it's easier to get your back end up. After I got the hang of it, I gradually started going straighter and straighter toward the ledge, stairs, etc.

Yeah, I blew up the picture and noticed that too. The image quality is so poor that you can barely make out the outlines of the people.
