Re: So...How 'bout them Wombolts? posted on 2006-09-13 23:49:31

They go together SOOOOO easy and are very light. You can use whatever BB your frame requires, but he spindle is 22mm.

i ran them for some time and they are by far the best brake I have ever used.

It's in 2 weeks, Rey. I didn't even think about getting you a pass. I'll hook it up next year if you want to go.

I would have beat that mtb'er down for saying some shit like that.

I'll be there. No bike though, just blackjack and booze.

Re: some new pics of my shop posted on 2006-09-10 00:24:46

I was inspired by a trip to NorCal and a visit to Drew's BMX back around '98. BMX is all I have ever been into so it made sense to me. San Diego is a big enough town with enough riders to support a shop like mine. I've been open since July of '05, and it's growing every month. Sales this past August matched the sales of last December! And December was nuts! I'm going to start looking for a 2nd location next year, somewhere closer to the city.

It's a great wheel. I've sold dozens over the last year and have had very little problems with the hubs. If you do have any hub problems, the parts are readily available and fairly cheap too.

yeah, i guess so. i was there a couple weeks ago. that used to be THE shop back about 8 years ago. i would drive almost a hour each way just to get some Standard stuff. they pretty much had the same Standard stuff when i was there a couple weeks ago lol.

Re: some new pics of my shop posted on 2006-09-09 20:07:27

the shop is small, about 700 sqft, so that keep my rent under a grand a month. I started with about 25 grand and put just about every penny back into the shop for the 1st year.
When I play flat vids, the kids are like, "can we put a different video in?" lol  there aren't any young kids stoked on flat down here.

Re: some new pics of my shop posted on 2006-09-09 16:04:08

they aren't bmx shops. they are bike shops with a fair amount of bmx stuff. nothing like what i have though. i have kids that come all the way down form esco and oside.
The closest legit shop I think is Epic up in the OC

Re: some new pics of my shop posted on 2006-09-09 14:42:18

San Diego is a big town, about 4 million people in the county. So there are plenty of riders and I'm the only bmx shop within 100 miles.
I have 3 cases filled with product, just didn't take a pic of them.
