holy f***... check this guy out. posted on 2006-05-05 19:37:59

hey you guys can listen to me play at http://www.betarecords.com/disasterpiece

disasterpiece is my oneman band. theres no vocals yet, cause i have no mic, i just ordered it. and the tracks are just put tpgether and stuck up there to let peopel like your selfs get an ear full.

what sucks is that im to lazy to record new tracks at the moment, how ever i have 4 or 5 NEW tracks that will be takeing form on that site soon. not to mention those are just me playing around so please know i DO play better than that haha.

anyway. the demo release date is still set to be released on the 15 of this month, they are 2 dollars plus shipping which ill have to find out how much that is cause i didnt really plan on selling them online.

disasterpiece is complete me, original stuff and my take on a cover song or two, there will be 5 songs on the disks. all of the originals will be, written, played, recorded, mixed, burned, prempted , and sold by myself.... lol, and ive never done this before! so this should be a long interesting fun ride for me..

i totally agree, hey maybe someone would email this link to nick and tell him this is how we all feel...

i mean pedal is like a private club where good people come to talk about things that they like or that are happening to them. its lost its "guys around the camp fire" atmosphere. i think its time to clean this place up a bit, get ride of the peoples that have been out for along time and start fresh..

anyone here know anything about linux? posted on 2005-03-30 13:23:36

i think i got it figured out:

open a shell

type

mkdir mnt
kmdir mnt/hda1 (in this case)
mount -r /dev/hda1 mnt/hda1
mkdir mnt/fatstick
mount -t vfat dev/sda1 mnt/fatstick
cd mnt/fatstick
mkdir nico (in this case)
cd nico (again)
cp mnt/hda1/windows/(you dont need to know what im doing from here)
cp mnt/hda1/windows/----^

i believe that SHOULD copy the file/files i want coppied to a thumb drive.
i havent tried it just yet, but i dont even know if thats entirely correct.

obviously i need to plug in the thumb drive, then, boot from the cd. but im unsure about a few things.

theres a command line you can type in that gives you a list of hard drives/ cd roms and floppy drives. i dont know if it will give me the name of things like thumb drives. i read some where that its

sudo cat /ect/fstab

however i had issues getting that working.
in another version of this whole task, i found something saying you have to be in root to preform a task like this.
it started like this

sudo mount -r /dev/... blah blah blah.

do i need to use sudo at all? cause so far i cant get fstab to work at all.

i need some help with linux.

i have a linux bootable cd called "koppix std". by defaul it has a program running called "Linux-NTFS". this program allows linux to browse windows hard drives. i know this program is running, but i dont know how to get from the koppix desk-top to the windows hard drive.

its not as simple as opening a browser and just browsing to the right dirrectory.

what shell/program do i use? what do i type in, if anything, to get to the windows hard drive from the linux desk-top?

knoppix-std is in x-windows btw.
