the answer is no. it has stock freewheel.  i believe i already answered that question... stay away from the dk cincinnati, there's nothing flatland about it.

Re: A Good Starter DK Cincinnati 2007? posted on 2007-05-20 15:33:45

the dk cincinnati is not meant to be a flatland bike, and no it's has stock freewheel. a good budget beginner flatland bike is the dk signal. it's perfect for flatland and comes with freecoaster all at flatlandfuel.com.

calve muscles over worked feeling sore due to lactic acid forming, you might want to try some "Creatine." i ain't no scientist; don't ask me how Creatine works... all i know, Creatine helps in rapid muscle recovery and prevents lactic acid build up.

fly simple 19.2" tt, euro bb?

Re: Fly Simple 19.2" frame will trade for another flat frame under 19 inch posted on 2006-08-30 15:34:49

the specification of the fly simple: top tub 19.2 inch, euro bottom bracket, 4.7 pounds, has rear brake mounts, can be upgraded to include gyro tabs( if one wants to use rear brakes ), uses standard head set.
the condition: the frame is in great shape has plenty of life in it for more riding. the frame is neither bent, wrap, or cracked, except for the small little dent on the chainstay as shown in the picture above, which does not in anyway hamper the performance of the frame.

from the pic above, that's the axle side, which the nut threads on tight. the threads on the axle is not stripped, and i always kept it well greased.
i had to tighten the cone wrench to this side of the axle so that i can get the nut off with the socket wrench on the other side of the 14mm axle, as seen in the first pic.

as seen in the close up pics, those scratches on the rim were caused by using a screwdriver, getting a snafu rim job tire off. i tried to be careful as possible getting it off with causing minimal damage to the exterior of the odyssey rim.

what makes a pro rider any more a flatlander then anyone else. why doesn't some random flatlander design a logo who'se good at art and if it looks good be like yeah, that's flatland.
I agree that a pro flatland rider, an expert flatland rider, an amateur flatland rider, and a beginner flatland rider are all flatland riders. There's no disputing that...but at different levels.

You said you are good a art, you may have a point there... I was thinking alone the line that pro flatland riders get paid for riding( not very much ), they are credited for inventing new tricks, and given the privilege in designing and testing flatland specific parts. In other words, a pro flatland riders are given a say so in those area of expertise. However, does it make pro flatland riders qualified in designing flatland art? Maybe or maybe not...

Wouldn't it be reasonable to create a domestic flatland symbol for USA flatlanders of America? Since we live in the USA. We need to ask ourselves this question: Would you like some flatland rider in China or Japan to force you to accept what they think is a universal flatland symbol should be...  Do you expect some flatland riders in Germany or Canada to be force to accept some universal flatland symbol that was creative by some USA flatland rider? I'm sure your intentions are good. But will the global flatland community accept your universal flatland symbol that your want to create.

Re: Homeschooled posted on 2006-06-03 20:57:33

I've never been homeshooled in my life. But from what I heard, homeshooled students do better emotionally and act more mature than their peer counterpart in public school. And especially, homeschool students are smarter in reading, writing, etc. than their peer counterpart in public school. You homeschool students have the best of both worlds; you're well ahead of your peers in public school for sure.

Re: flatland symbol posted on 2006-06-03 20:15:51

I know the task would be insurmountable, but not impossible to define a universal global flatland symbol. How to do it...maybe there's some other pedalbmx members that might have some suggestions in getting pro flatland riders around the world to world together on a universal flatland symbol.

The reason a flatland symbol that's is similar to a NBA logo wouldn't work, why? Using the colors red, white, and blue would seem to represent fine for the USA, but would leave out many flatland riders globally, that's why the colors of one's country flag shouldn't be used on a universal flatland symbol, correct me if I'm wrong...

Re: flatland symbol posted on 2006-06-03 19:51:31

I believe a universal flatland symbol should be independent from: A company's store icon( which is too specific to the store and it's sponsored riders, which don't represent the global flatland community ), any domestic or foreign language on flat symbol( a flatland symbol should be easily read by all its flatland riders around the world ), and the colors and symbols used in one country's region( the color and symbol should not pertain to one's own country; for example: converting the  NBA logo into a flatland symbol should be voided, why? ).

Who decides the universal flatland symbol? I believe each pro flatland riders from each country around the world should collaborate together and devise a creative universal flatland symbol that we the global flatland community can agree upon.  In other words, get the pro flatland riders from USA, Canada, Spin, France, Germany, Japan, etc... to work togher on a universal flatland symbol, I believe that's how it should be done.

for sale/ trade: dragonfly solo frame, mike fork, and wheel freecoaster posted on 2006-05-29 20:53:43

In the pic above, the only reason I'm using the haro block stem is to hold the fork and headset sealed bearing from coming apart. the dragonfly solo frame is 19 inches top tub, uses American bottom bracket, and rear 14mm drop outs.
notice above pic, the rear 14mm drop outs have integrated chain tensioners on dragonfly solo.
dragonfly solo frame will include FSA SKY PILOT aluminum alloy headset. the cup uses sealed bearing, bottom cup uses a micro angular bearing at 36 degree onto a harden steel ring, so that the steel bearings don't roll or grind against the softer aluminum alloy cup. believe me, the bearing in the cups spin incredibly smooth. the reason I'm including it with the frame, I don't want to damage or thrash the soft aluminum cups, when taking it apart.
the mike s fork zero offset fork will be sold separately from the mike s frame.
this a rear odyssey hazard lite rim 48 spoke laced to a odyssey hazard freecoaster hub, that uses a 14mm axle.  the reason I no longer need the wheel, I replaced my dragonfly solo frame with a wethepeople div, that only accepts a freecoaster hub with an 3/8 inch axle. that's why I can't use the odysessy freecoaster on the div frame; it wouldn't accept it. now the wheel is up for sale.
the cog is 14t and the freecoaster hub is sealed( uses sealed bearings inside hub ). the alxe on one side threads onto the nut a bit tight, in no way it effect the performance of the wheel.

I believe I fairly described the items above. Here's what I want to trade dragonly fly solo frame for another basic simple looking flat frame: I'll trade it for fly simple( 18.8 inch tt ), sickchild  instrumental( 19 inch tt ), inertia, or any other flat frame of the like...( only interested in straight tub frame ). if I don't get any offers to trade my df solo frame, I'll consider selling it, but for now I'm looking a trade.  I'll give up the odyssey hazard freecoaster wheel for $95 shipped.
