chain. i think it is taht. i have that same hub and when i pedal it does that. its the sound of the chain tentioning then loosing its tention

ive never tryed the odysse pads but i can say the kool-stop pads are awesome. they are great. when i ran brakes they grabbed well on a shitty rim.

i have tryed the ares 88 pedals and the odyssey pedals and i can say taht they are both really goood pedals. personally i like the odyssey pedals more becasue they spin better. idk if this is good for flatland but i thought they have better berrings in them.
