Question: Does anyone have an extended 15mm socket that they could bring to Ham Jam?

Top tube length has VERY little to do with how long a frame feels, more so your bar and seat posistion have Everything to do with how long it feels.
I suggest you learn about headtube and seat ttube angels when judging how long a frame will feel.
A shallow saet tube angle will make a frame feel much longer that one with a steep seat tube angle. As well as a steep head tube angle wil make a frame feel longer than a shallow angle.
Often people run their seat post backwards which causes a frame to feel even shorter since the seat is even closer to the handle bars.
Top tube length means f%$# all.

I went to the Toronto show on Thursday, only I was going for their opening act, Mars Volta, who stole the show. Fucking System. I think they spent $60 on their set renting 3 persian rugs from Sarmazian. Cheap bastards. My light bright had better light effects then they did. Where the fuck did my $70 go? Mars Volta, however, was a religious experience. This included a sax an flute solo. Has anyone else ever experience a 40 minute climax?

That video was so much more than I expected. Props go out to you, Barry, on the editing. It was so clean and TITE! I've editing videos before and I know how perfection drives you crazy and eats up time. You are a pillar in the flatland community for going the extra forty billion miles. Quinn's favourite parts was definately his freeze frame and title, but the whole thing blew my mind. The end also had a nice touch, really sentimental and profound.
Standing ovation for Barry!

Quinns sketch on the details. We're going to Bowmanville on the 3rd for a car dealy. RX7's I believe. Change the dates? eloel. Or just have 2 jams. I think I'd rather ride all day then go to a car dealy. *I'm actually pretty informed on cars, it's just to emphasize I'd rather ride*

Although I have no answers to your question, I do have an opinion about guys giving advice.
When I was learning to do tailwhips Quinn kept telling me that I REALLY had to swing the bike around with my leg, REALLY kick it hard. But in the end, that wasn't even my problem. For me it was more about planting a firm foot on my front wheel.
Also, guys have a different center of balance in their bodies than girls do. Guys level out around the waist or so, while girls have their center of balance right at their navel. Ladies learning from watching guys ride isn't always the best idea, because it's not going to translate the same. That's why more girls should ride, carring the load all together will make progressing easier!

So Chris you're going (bringing any extras?), and the P-Crew's going, any other takers? 8)
Would anyone be disappointed if I came without Quinn? He has to work Saturday. But Danny girl just got her bike this week. Maybe she'll be up for christening it at a jam. Or maybe not.

I live in KW Ontario, pop. 190,000. There aren't many graffiti artist around here, but I know the ones that live here. This work belongs to two of my friends. The first one is Pat Buck, and the second two Rob Phillips's (who goes by the name Hamster). It's funny because I found the graffiti and then found out that they did it.

Four females total? That's pretty steep competition, and less spots then there are total categories.

Xtreme Team? This reminds me of that commercial audition for Team Tiger. DAMN YOU TONY! Except I had only been riding for about 2 weeks total for that one. I'd just learned how to do a fire hydrant! Needless to say I was cut after the 3rd audition. The other day I wondered if an opportunity like that would come up again, then wondered if I would be up to the challenge. I've learned a thing or two since then...but I don't think I've learned $100 000 worth of stuff. eloel. Maybe a free phone. If the deadline is September 30 fo' shizzy, maybe I'll learn enough and go on this crazy tour. Or maybe I'll just end up with a ticket to the show to see who made it.
Thanks Kim, Dave, Matt, Chris & Blake! posted on 2005-08-10 12:59:45
I had too much fun with Kim, Dave, Matt and Chris. Sadly, the 6 of us (including Quinn) will probably never be together like that again. :( But it was a great once in a life time experience and I've got the pictures to prove it! I'll post them up when I get a chance.
Kudos to you, my american friends!
