Poor Neela. Man, if only everybody knew how much she does for Flatlander and all other "extreme" athletes in this fine province of ours... they would have the up most respect for her..... My initial response to the dress up as a cop etc. was..."isn't that illegal?" ... but i'm sure she and the ASC are open to suggestions. There's literally endless options here..... dress up as a hobo, a zoo animal, hawaii luau, fiesta, western cowboys, whatever.... i'm up for fun!!! fun is fun!
afro theme?

The video premiere itself was a HUGE step up from last year's seedy back door bar, but they both have their charms. It was in a theatre at U.o.T on a projection screen. Diversion 6.0 did what it's suppose to do, make me wanna ride in Asia. It just looked like a riders paradise, huge sheltered riding areas WITH parking, inspiring skies, city sky lines, and exotic plantation, very appealing to the eyes. Plus you could always find someone to ride with. There might be a slight language barrier, but everybody knows english for some reason?? i dont know how to use question marks? In bonus there was a little trivia game at the end hosted by Chris and Neela. I got 50 bucks for West 49 for answering one question! And there was a little ASC video at the start, but we came in 1/2 way through. All I remember is watching Chris Pergentile riding in a business suit. Good premiere.

Yaeh Metro!! On the plus side, "thanks" to global warming i'm predicting/guaranteeing that it will be sunny and warm in Toronto that weekend. It's 5 degrees here, and it's January. So if you're afraid of the weather that's not an issue right now.
Re: Circle of Balance Riders? posted on 2006-12-29 22:59:34
Well I've never been to Circle of Balance, I've probaly seen a video, but I've heard the hype. But my old name before BMX came into my ilfe it was Paulatix. And Paulatix believes in Democracy. So if you want Pro-Riders to pick who goes, that makes them partisan and they need to have a party. And then the public votes for their favourite pros agenda. Or the percentage of each candidate. Kna'ms'quean? Anyways, don't kill anyone.

pretty much exactly the same here a la canadienne politics with Harper known as jr. Bush. but what news content exsist in Europe, Africa, Asia, South America, Central America? I just want to know if they're all up on American politcs as much as Canadians are.

Tell that to the perfectly moulded tire indentation on the bottom of my right shoe. When you don't have brake pads your feet are your brakes which makes for the quicker wear down... and the wear depends on the tricks your doing or learning. I'm learning backwards hang nothings and it ate through my shoe like sulfuric acid on bread. I wear Adidas shell toes when I ride, and my first 2 pairs lasted almost a year each. But these hang nothings killed them in no time. Also learning pulling up into backwards dorkwheelies at the same time ate 'em quickly. I still vote for shell toes though. :-D

Thats your problem, dont let your shoe skid all over the ground to stop, damn. Its pretty simple, if you know your going to have to stop soon, dont go so damn fast. Its common sense. Same for if your rolling down a hill. Start slow, and keep your foot walking with it, instead of dragging it, or even worse, wedging it on the back tire. That is not the shoe, it is you.

yuck i never want to ride with you. and that's your fault :-D ass(ume)

I doubt brakeless has anything to do with how fast you wear through shoes. Infact, Im will say that from my observation, riders with brakes usually tend to scuff a little more than brakeless riders. Now Im not saying all riders with brakes scuff a lot, and that brakeless riders do not scuff.
There are other factors to take in. For example, are you doing a lot of pivots? Are you doing pivots on pegs with skateboard grip tape?
As soon as I switched from the rubber grip tape on my sequence pegs, to normal skateboard grip tape, I woar thourgh a pair of new shoes in 2 weeks, leaving a hole about 2 to 3 inches big.
Try out SCG Shoes. Ive used the Malvado, and Pheonix, and would say the Pheonix bottom is the best Ive ever had in a shoe. It seems like there is extra hard rubber right where I do my pivots.

Silly Americans :-P I want to hear answers from non North American coutries.
Know Thy Neighbour posted on 2006-10-18 22:31:19
So I watch the news pretty much everyday, and I gotta say that here (in Canada) American politics and issues are close to par with Canadian politics and issues as far as exposure. I'm not sure if this is due to the fact that they are Canada's closest neighbour, or because the U.S.A is this largely (in)famous internationally. How many other foreign countries are updated on American issues daily?
